UCLA has lost 1 game this year, and it was to UT at a tournament in Vegas

I didn't know a thing about Nell Angloma, but I'm her biggest fan! Let's go, Comets!

So, it looks like the first round is basically the UCLA draft.

No idea about Gianna Kneepkens, but she can shoot - send her to the Rockets!

We drafted Kneepkens. 50-40-90 type shooter. Read she was a steal at #15.

She had one of, if not the best, interview lines when talking about her brothers :

Praying for a high pick so we can get Watkins/Booker/Hidalgo

Not sure I can stomach more weaponized incompetence from Houston pro basketball teams

I saw she was waived a couple of days ago and wondered if the Sun/Comets would take a chance on her considering her history. I guess she was injured some of last year (ankle surgery).

Here's some background on her and why the Sky may have let her go. Apparently Kobe asked her to train Gianna at one point.

Why the Sky waived Hailey Van Lith, plus potential landing spots for the former No. 11 draft pick

Small guards are inherently at a disadvantage, and Van Lith doesn't have the necessary skill or athleticism to overcome her lack of size at the pro level. She's always been a better scorer than playmaker, but, dating back to her college career, has never been a reliable jump shooter. It's almost impossible to make it in the W as a small shooting guard who can't actually shoot.
There is a Houston Rockets joke in there, but I'll let you guys go after that...

I thought the WNBA would give Houston the #1 pick since its a new franchise?

    Technically they're not a new/expansion team - they're moving, so they won't be granted a top pick.
