Why doesn't A&M get labor day off?

Anti-union, obviously.

 

There's a lot of schools who don't get labor day off.

 

We get 1 monday off a semester, Labor day, and MLK day.

We get Labor Day off at UT, but I'd much rather have the Wednesday before Thanksgiving off for travel. Not that I have to go further than Houston for that holiday, but it's always a little silly to me that we get a holiday so soon after school starts. I say this as I had a freshman-year professor who gave us an exam that Wednesday on purpose, preventing out-of-state students from missing his class that day.

 

I have physics and microbiology exam on that wednesday this year

 

I definitely wish our one Monday off was further into the semester
Not having the Wednesday off before Thanksgiving blows. At Colorado, we get the entire week before Thanksgiving off and most teachers cancel class the Friday before break starts.

 

it has something to do with the fact A&M just started school a week ago while UT started on Wed 2 weeks ago and other schools even earlier. I rather start late by 2 days.

I hate professors that do **** like that.

 

I like having labor day off early because I can go home and bring back stuff that I forgot when I moved in... which is exactly what I did.

 

i thought this was an Aggie joke... kinda sounded like one, but then i saw there was no punchline...

 

SFA stared classes on monday. So that's 5 days of class, and still have monday off.

 

Aggies could always use extra education.

 

Because none of their graduate get jobs.

 

First law of the internet, son.

 

Because Aggies aren't SOCIALIST TRAITORS like the UNIONS that made LABOR DAY into a mandatory holiday!
