No, that is not the reason. If it were, there would be much more agency surrounding this war. We would still be bombing and likely would have already sent in troops to try and secure the nuke facilities if the consequences were as existential as all that. Yet we putz around in the Arabian Sea, waiting for yet another round of Pakistani go-betweens while our President says unhinged things that no previous President would have even thought to say.

It's reminiscent of the start of the Iraq War. If Saddam really did have all of these WMDs, why did we spend weeks massing American soldiers along the border, grouping them up into easy targets before the invasion? Some WMDs could have wiped out thousands of Americans and an enormous amount of our military resources before we set one foot in Iraq. It was absolutely the stupidest thing to do unless you were sure there were no WMDs that could do that kind of damage to your exposed troops. But they were sure there no WMDs even as they lied to us and the rest of the world.

Same with Iran, who was never weeks away from having nukes. If we wanted to ensure they never develop nukes in the future, there were several other avenues to drive down other than Stupid War Boulevard. But here we are, stuck in a quasi-war with no end that is wrecking the global economy, has Iran gaining status, and is strengthening China while the the President is getting bored with it all.

Do we also need to go in and murder anyone with a degree in physics, nuclear, mechanics, engineering, or science in general??

You do realize that even if Trump sent a trillion dollar mission with hundreds of thousands of troops with teams of construction professionals, and engineers into Iran to the former nuclear sites on an extremely dangerous mission to take all of "nuclear dust" as Trump calls it, that within weeks, people inside of or who support Iran could just continue on mining those raw materials and build a bomb again well before Trump's term ends??

The only way to ensure that Iran does not get nuclear weapons is through diplomacy, and independent UN inspectors who are able to monitor to ensure that they hold up to their end of the bargain.

The US had that very agreement, and Trump destroyed that and instead opted for war, death, and economic collapse while also being in a situation where in 6 months, unless you kill everyone in Iran with a science degree, you will likely be right back where you are again needing to go to war again.

You can keep drinking the cool aid if you want.... and you obviously want to... but you will just continue to look dumber and dumber and dumber.

As if Trump ever really cared about Americans to begin with. It was always about him, his Trump empire, power mongering, and his big fat ego. Trump's average net job approval over the last three weeks is as low as Biden's ever got.

Yall are arguing with a modern day nazi. This dude literally advocates for killing millions of children for something that could've been solved through diplomacy before the war while pretending he's a "good Christian."

Yall are legitimizing a nazi. Quit giving him so much attention

You are right. He took an agreement, ripped it up, and made things so much worse, all at the cost of the taxpayers. Now he wants 1.5 trillion more for his war mongering? Gee, just think how much more terrorism he's inciting for the future. That, while spitting on our western allies left and right, coddling Putin, and joining in on Netaynhu's war crimes by bombing a school of girls and wanting to starve the rest of the Iranians to death or just blow them all up.

Iranians don't need nukes to commit terrorism. They never did before. They will hate Americans more than ever after this war ends. We bombed first, because Trump is a highstrung lunatic who acts on impulse. Some say Putin and Netaynhu have blackmail on him. Then there is the Epstein rape club, all those rich pedos being protected by Trump, while Trump's DOJ protects him. None of this is making America better. The dangerous and twisted mind of Trump gets worse by the week, as his health decline is happening before our eyes. But by golly his family, big donors, and friends are going to make a fortune off the war, the grift, the defense contracts, and the insiders only rewards and other tit for tat policy favors.

It's less about him, and more about pointing out the absurdity of the "Nukes are coming!!" gaslighting and fear mongering. I see this gaslighting at all levels going mostly unchecked, and I just think it's time that people stop just letting the Trump propaganda machine off the hook on this get out of jail card they keep trying to play.

No we did not need to go to war because we were facing certain death from a nuclear war with Iran. You are not getting out of this thinking you can fear monger about nuclear fallout.

To that point in the bold.... here's a thought... instead of trying to murder everyone that says "death to America" why don't we... you know... maybe try to figure out why they hate America, and you know... not do the things that make other countries believe we are an existential threat??

    I dunno... .just a thought.

Trump and Hegseth aren't capable of that type thinking. That's my belief anyway. They can't be trusted anyway, and the world is seeing that in real time.

It's like when their first wives found out they were sleeping around on them, they just moved on to the second wife, slept around on her, and moved on to the 3rd wife. Trump couldn't even stay faithful to her either.

That was already handled including inspections to ensure. But this administration withdrew from the agreement. This war was unnecessary

If only the media reported exactly what we say, things would turn out peachy. It's their fault Iran now controls the Strait.

The irony of it all is that the country committing genocide, displacing millions, taking over territories, and killing civilians left and right as we speak may be an even bigger nuclear threat to the entire Middle East. Funny how a blind eye is turned, and nobody is demanding inspecting and confirming one way or another about those hidden nukes speculated about for years.

He's like the boy who cried wolf at this point. He posts hundreds and hundreds of flat out lies and conspiracy theories, and spews lies so frequently people just stop listening to him. He is completely untrustworthy. A man without an ounce of integrity is not a man who deserves an ounce of trust or respect.

He's still doing it. People criticize him and Hegseth (and/or simply note reality) and he accuses all critics of making a case "against America!"
He is not = America, sorry.

America is 300 million people, and the vast majority of us wanted nothing to do with an elective war against Iran. Zip. Zilch. No part of it.

The only person making a case against America is its own POTUS, driving our global reputation (and our healthcare, our budget, our clean water, our science, our disaster preparedness, etc) full-speed into a gutter.

We know exactly who the Losers and Fools are, and they aren't the ones who can admit facts and speak truth to power.
