Apparently he didn’t get an invite to attend the game like other former Rockets legends did - per Maxwell and AlltheSmoke WTF is the Rockets problem here?!
y’all get mad at KD thinking he quit on this team as he is out injured, but Vernon literally did quit…took his ball and went home in the middle of the playoffs and it’s all love
I mean, the guy literally walked out on the team. I love Max, but I do think he needs to have a little more self awareness of how he compares to other Rockets legends at times. He also spends a lot of his time being NSFW on all his content, that endears him to me as a fan, not so much businesses who worry about PR and stuff though.
http://youtube.com/post/UgkxDYT_ZrVWyZhrg4excknyiap3VxpbaPx8?si=8vmRRQJzDM7b5KvC He’s gotten invited in the past, plenty of times, y’all act like y’all ain’t know?
although Mad Max abruptly leaving in 1995 was downright dumb and done due to losing job to Clyde, Mad Max was a key starter and performer in our 1994 championship that was our first championship in our city (NBA, MLB, NFL). That holds a special pass as it got the monkey off our back so to speak, that no other "greats" in Houston had done before 1994. An unbelievable time for Houston. KD already has championships so the incentive for him is not as great and quitting is easy for him while getting a fat paycheck. KD has done nothing for Houston except making us lose younger players and a mega million contract. JMO.
to outright quit on your brothers like that in the middle of a title run, and for the selfish ass reason that he did so, is inexcusable and downright dirty and shameful
This reminds me of the interview Vernon did below where he sounded a bit delusional saying something like on the Rockets it was basically Olajuwon and then him. I mean, I guess... but it's not like when Clyde came and it was Hakeem and then Clyde. The fall-off to Vernon was a bit huge. Not to mention there was also OT. It's like pretty much everybody was after Dream and everybody was the sidekick to Dream until Clyde. Then it was Dream, then Clyde, then everybody else. The Rockets had given Vernon a position within the organization a few years ago, I thought, but then they went their separate ways, I guess. Probably because Vernon was cussing his head off at old ladies. lol. Maybe they just forgot to invite Max to this time or maybe they just feel Max has gotten popular more for being a crazy uncle or his machine gun cursing than being anything "Rockets".
can we please not put KD in sentences with true rockets players who have real history with the team. KD is a mercenary.
don’t care…that’s not gonna distract from how Vernon quit on the team literally said “fck all y’all, I’m out” and went home in the middle of the playoffs
