Ready to give up on a 4th overall pick in his second year is....certainly a way to go.

I don't agree, I think in the right system and a coach that can maximize his strengths and minimize his weaknesses, and surround him with shooters. He could have easily had 9-10 assists tonight had it not been Eason/DFS/Green/Sengun/Amen receiving those passes wide open at the 3 point line.

I don't think we are in a position where we have to rush these decisions, so why hit the panic button after his second year? I say second just because it's factual, seeing as he didn't get many minutes his first season.

If we were on the edge of winning of a title, I'd get it. But my word we are a 5th seed, that has a coach that isn't leading us to a championship. We are in no position to just cut or trade every player that doesn't produce to your standards in their second season. We have to hope they pan out, and two years isn't exactly a lifetime of evidence.

People want to so badly dig deeper into the hole.

Was a mistake to trade Jalen for an old star and it'd be a bigger one to trade Reed/Sengun for Giannis. Yes, lets just get rid of everyone to become the old ass Clippers.

Again, Clippers traded SGA for Paul George or whatever lol, no one knew SGA would become what he became, he had a solid rookie year, no one had him as anything but a solid starting guard. Same can be said for a lot of players that we all covet. Reed isn't the instant star people want but no reason to give up on him.

Reed has a really good year, was a top 5 in 6th man voting, showed a lot of improvement. Now we hope that he continues to grow, get physically stronger, wiser, and hopefully play in a system where he can get easier shots more consistently.

Unless we are getting a bonafide young star back, just makes no sense to trade him.

If we aren't in a rush let's just trade kevin durant. You think he wants to be here wanting for reed sheppard to develop?
I dont understand how you think reed and sengun would work? They are two bad defender. We would get cooked so bad with teams that are very elite in the pnr.

He will flourish as a hired gun off the bench. I said it all year. His comp is Kennard or JJ Reddick. He is a diminutive SG who will be a deadly shooter playing the right role. I do agree we shouldn’t do anything drastic on the trade front as long as Ime is our coach.

You’ll have to add 4 frp’s for that.

He was third overall, but I agree we shouldn’t give up on him. He can be a useful bench player with a good shot. Something we lack on this team.

We need him to lead the second unit after Fred returns. Our bench can't score.

We can only hope but it’s not looking good. The decision making is what concerns me. It’s not there. It hasn’t been there. The lack of ability to finish in the paint. The lack of explosiveness. All this on top of being a liability on defense. It just isn’t looking good

It was a **** draft and he was the best fit. No GM would have taken Clingan with Sengun on the team, or Castle with our lack of shooting. By all accounts Stone tried to trade out of that draft, but had no takers. I think Stone should be fired, but not because of that pick. I really don’t care where a player was drafted just about what value they bring to the team. Reed can be a valuable bench piece whether he was drafted 3 or 23, it doesn’t matter. Now extending Ime, FVV, Adams and signing DFS and trading for Durant, that’s a different matter.

Castle is miles better than Reed. And waaaay more competitive. We drafted the wrong guy.

He was getting "consistent" minutes this year because he sucked at his rookie season, on behalf of the gleague as a #3 pick but can't even score in a all star rookie game. Not because Ime hates him.

Most players look pretty bad at times during their first year and this is pretty much what that is for him. He has some skills, he's had good games.

I hate that playoffs make people forget all the good a player has done. He's been the best player on the court for stretches of time. He's been key to our best lineups. All this is true.

Along with his bad defense but that is something you can build around. I think it would be a mistake to give up on him now and if we do, we'll be regretting it.

Unless we are getting a good young prospect back, I'm not for it.

This is the NBA, not high school. If you want to play at this level, you need to be able to play against NBA players.

I dont think stone did his research or know what identity he wanted to built. I don't get how this team is all about defense and we picked one of the worst defender in this draft it makes 0 sense to me.

Not sure how you're going to play Amen, Castle, and Sengun at the same time. Have fun with that. Maybe we'd score 70 points though?

Castle looks great because he has shooters and a big man that can shoot. He'd have none of that here. The only other shooter we'd have (since we won't have Reed) would be KD and Bari...the rest brick layers.
