What's the point of having Stone if he's not going to make any moves at all? You have an opportunity to get an all-NBA talent at age 29 at a very low price, and he just let it slip. Either he overvalues his players or he is a very bad negotiator, because right now, this is a very poorly constructed roster with no true 1A player.

KD is more of a 1A than JB lol Right 29 is young but 32 which is just 3 yrs away from 29 is old and washed. The right option now is run it back and see what we have with everyone, the culmination of StoneDoka era. In 2 yrs the old guys would expire and we can get some real guys to fit the core. By that time Jaylen Brown would be 32 and you will be complaining we stuck with an old and washed overpaid 1A. Sixers fleeced the Celtics because JB fits their timeline, their star is still Joel Embiid, Maxey and their new sg arent anywhere near as dominant as Embiid. Now, their team looks scary with Embiid, Brown, Maxey and VJ. On our team we dont have such a timeline, KD is just here to improve the team but the core guys are 23 or 6 yrs younger than JB. It makes zero sense to have JB here long term he gonna be washed when we are ready to win. You might argue KD is already 38 but he makes half of JB. KD can just be a role player on this team unlike JB. Lets say KD plays past 40 like Bron, he would make even less prob in the 20-25M range while JB at 31 gonna be making 70M lol.
