If we are doing a trade, I'd rather have Giannis over Brown.

With the Knicks beating Spurs 4-1 despite 8v5 I think its short sighted to say players can or cannot be the no 1 guy. Who said Brunson can be the no 1 guy to a ring before the season? I remember everyone saying he is too small and got targeted on defense.

Giannis would cost more than Brown and would cause fit issues since he cant shoot.

Iggy defended Bron when nobody stopped Bron he lead Cavs to a ring. That Finals MVP was deserved.

My issue with JB is actually his salary. I think his fit is fine if we get rid of Sengun and have Jabari be the stretch 5, but JB might end up overpaid since he has a supermax.

 

No point in tanking right now anyway, we already have Brooklyn swap rights next season. I can maybe see a purpose in taking a step back in 2028 and allowing the team to be middle-of-the-pack to get into the lottery, but that depends on what happens between now and then.

Nah Sengun should be the one to go over Jabari. Jabari is a stretch forward that can play small ball C. Jabari at 5 would open spacing for Amen and JB. OTH losing Jabari would limit the spacing even more, JB Amen and Sengun all need space to do what they do.
