summers in Houston after tolerating it my whole life and even thinking when I was younger that it’s not that bad, the past couple of years I’ve just come to start hating and despising it…I think it’s because I started spending more and more of my summers in places like Chicago and LA I came back from Chicago a few days ago and already miss it you can’t even enjoy being outside during the day, and at night there’s barely any relief…just hot, stale, humid air and no breeze I’m out walking my dogs at 9 PM just miserable and the mosquitos drive me fcking insane…holy sh*t every time it rains I get mad because I know an army of those fckers are going to appear every year I inch closer and closer to just wanting to leave
Dealing with learning about sourdough starters to make sourdough bread. It's fun but kind of annoying at the same time as a lot to know. I've messed up on creating a starter from scratch already (went to the yeast cultures bought on Amazon for a quick start to my starter) and I've messed up a levain by mixing it up but going to the fridge straight away without letting it start fermenting/rising partially prior (it didn't get the rise/structure it needed for use in the bread after several hours at a warm temp and I tossed it). Mistakes lead to lost flour, lost time, and more patience needed. Also, not a big fan of metal bowls as they can mess with the process. Plastic or glass is better for making levains or rising dough. It's trial and error lately but I've got AI chatbots guiding me. Sometimes even then we're not on the same page and mistakes happen. I've got a good living starter I maintain now. So, started a new levain after tossing the other one and making two loaves of my first homemade sourdough today. Hopefully, I don't end up with bread that comes out a little flat versus nice elongated taller loaves. Then, I'm going to make chicken salad sandwiches on sourdough and this all BETTER F-ING WORK OUT NICELY OR ELSE MOTHER***ER SOURDOUGH BEEYOTCH!!!
All of this angst, anger and angst is a really bad start to a new relationship hobby. Fun yeast facts: the oldest yeast is from Ancient Egypt at around 4500-5000 years old. It was extracted from dormant yeast spores by the co-creator of the X-Box, Seamus Blackley. The oldest continuous yeast is the Living Dough 900-Year Wales Culture.

"It's all good now. We're all fine here. How are you?" - Han Solo The new levain did its job nicely. Got the dough mixed, pinched, squeezed, and folded. Nice lookin' sourdough! I'm doing bulk fermentation now. Then, shape and final proof in fridge overnight. "There'll be no sourdough tonight, lads! But, gold is in that cave and I aim to get it!" - Spur
The new ad video pop up at the top of the page on my phone ANNOYS me to no end. It’s impossible to get rid of them and most of the time these days I found myself close the page and just leave in peace. @Clutch
the idiot motorcyclist who wants to go in-between cars zig zagging.........I want to open my car door as he goes by. The one guy who is in traffic and can't stay in his own lane and has to change lanes anytime one car inches closer a lane over, and does so with no blinker and feels he is to important to be bothered with traffic.
Multi factor authentication. I know companies mean well by adding this, but I think you should be allowed to opt out if you want. So annoying logging into a site with your ID and password, then getting a text when your phone is in the other room. Can I just pay my bill please?
I was in the middle lane, doing like 15mph on a packed freeway the other day -- just happy to be moving along -- when a dude on a motorcycle flew right past me, splitting lanes. (That **** annoys me!) I don't know how fast he was going but his engine was pegged. Crazy b*stard.
Lazy people annoy me. I see it every time I go to the grocery store. How hard is it to just push your cart into the rack instead of leaving it in the parking space? How hard is it to drop your trash into the trash cans outside the store on your way in instead of just dumping it on the ground outside your car? On that note, why on earth are there no racks to push the cart into anywhere near the handicap parking spots at HEB? That's bizarre. Just as bizarre are the folks who park in those spots. I swear half the time I see someone get out of their car at the handicap spot they look fit enough to leave the store and go play a game of basketball. Some people are just lazy as hell.
I see trash cans with dividers for recyclables on one side and trash on the other. I look down in them and it looks like most people are too lazy to put their **** in the right ****ing side. Just despicable.
Just as despicable are the a**hikes that just toss their trash out of their car. It's often the a**holes who drink and drive. I used to live off a country hwy outside Corpus and you wouldn't believe how many beer cans and beer bottles I'd have to clear off the end of my property when riding my lawn mower. There must have been a lot of those redneck drunk drivers passing down that stretch of highway between Corpus and Mathis.
You must not have any dead-end roads without a house at the end nearby. That's where the rednecks in my area dispose of their beer bottles, tires, and old washing machines.
