I hate making a negative thread about any player, but when was the last time a Rocket so thoroughly **** the bed in his contract year? Tari's unsustainable hot shooting faded in an instant, his defense is way less impactful now that our squad is less helter-skelter, his attitude and body language have been really negative...do we even want him back at this point? Barring an incredible explosion where he leads the Rockets to the first comeback ever from 0-3, I doubt we'll see him in red again after this sad, brutal little season. Dude has gone from terror twin to terrorizing Rockets fans.
No but not because of his shooting. I jsut want higher bball iq player on this team who can play under pressure. It’s not his shooting that bother me as much as his decision making. You have to clutch your pearls when he puts the ball on the floor and tries to do anything outside of spot up.
Tari is the only player on this roster whose jersey I’ve bought, and even I’m tired of him just way too many bonehead plays…way too inconsistent on both ends of the court
The most bizarre play was running down after making a great hustle play. 2 compadres running along side of him wide open. Nope. Going to drive it myself into a Lakers defender. Story of Tari.
His body language prior to that was AWFUL though, sulking in the corner and just moving slow as hell. I'm sure he does want to win, but a part of me feels like he also wants to be involved in the offense more even though he currently has no right to be
Tari probably works great as a 20 minute chaos agent off the bench so long as there’s a clear defensive system and everyone else around him plays a supremely disciplined game. This year’s Rockets were so undisciplined it would be generous to call them feral and as we now know. Ime’s system is nothing but “toughness” bravado. But despite how dumb Tari can be on the court, our GM is much,much dumber and he’ll probably end up with a contract like Jabari’s.

His attitude all year is a straight 'get the hell out the door' if I was a GM. I don't care if you shot it hot for a while. You're a garbage teammate. Your body language in the biggest games of the year makes me want to climb through the tv and hit you up the side of your head. I don't want worthless pathetic pieces of sh*t like this on the team I follow. Exactly why I hated KPJ on this team. I have grown to hate Tari.
Amen, and Jabari for the most part besides when he was in that horrific slump. You're right though, this season has been body language hell

I admit it, I chuckled at this post. You're not wrong though. Jalen at least didn't just quit like Tari does.
All it takes is one season and the right changes and the vibes will be right back to being great. Even this miserable year can't compare to the shitty vibes from that rehab Ty Lawson/Out-of-his-depth JB/Checked-out-Dwight Howard season. And the very next season was the first of that ultra-memorable D'antoni era. It won't be hard to turn it around, but will the FO make the right choices to facilitate the turnaround...? I don't know how much faith I have in them right now
