First player since Pistol Pete to lead the NCAA in scoring and assists in the same season. Only NCAA player to average 20+ pts and 6+ assists. 44% from 3. Amazing handles. Some say he’s not athletic enough. Players like Kon and Cade disagree.

This is the Rockets’ franchise player. Go get him!

Would love to get him, he's going to be a stud, but I'm not sure how we'd pull it off. Funnily enough, he's being mocked lately to the Brooklyn pick we used to control.

Get into that #5 or #6 spot to draft this kid.

    I completely agree, Aruba!

It changes our calculus a little bit with Amen BUT Amen/Reed/Acuff Could certainly share the court together at times and Makes me drool as far as a rotation.

I think the great thing about Amen, and why he’s the one guy from this core I wouldn’t trade, is his versatility. I believe he’s better suited as a 3/4 anyway. With Reed I don’t believe in the sunk cost fallacy. He is what he is; he may not be our point guard of the future. But he can definitely play off ball. I see Acuff (and some of these other top guards) as better prospects. There’s no reason to shy away from drafting a guard. We still really need guards. I’m not sure what Reed’s future is as an off guard or the issues with having a small backcourt, but I’d rather figure out fit later. We need more talent on this team. Taking a swing on one of this guards with stud potential is something we just have to do. To your point, it would be nice to have a couple blue-chip scorers/shooters. We need ball handling and shot making with or without Reed. Acuff and some of these others fill that well.

i get it. But are u confident Reed is a starting guard? I’d say there’s a better than 50% he’s not…though I’m hopeful. I think this is an amazing guard class and we can’t pass one up because we are clinging to hope for Reed. Reed will be useful off-ball regardless, or we can trade him. The most important thing is to hit on a top prospect in this draft. We should worry about fit later.

They still think he is the blek Stockton, the odds those guards make an All Star appearance are way higher.

what people keep overlooking when they make those Stockton, Nash, etc comparisons…those guys had way better handles coming into the league than Reed. I like Reed and think he’s got something special, but I hate those comparisons.

Have this guy as one of the Sleeper Guards---- dude is unreal. Beat the Gators who were a Final Four candidate.

Thought he was great last yr. My concerns with him are similar to my concerns with Reed: handle not good enough.

He has way better handles than Reed, dude is a known college ball pick n roller.

He would not be a starter from the get go.
