After breaking America, Peter Thiel relocates to Argentina, as billionares do when the time comes to pay.the piper.

    Committed to the Bit.

Also, in 2029, let's have the Ocasio-Talarico Admin do airstrikes on Argentina until they give us either (1) our $40 billion that Trump stole & gave to them back or (2) Peter Thiel extradition

Perhaps all the well paid engineers and other staff should also take a pay cut.

No problem with Billionaires existing, as long as they actually pay their fair share of Taxes. They do not currently.

Man the thought of an 18 year old diner worker being able to qualify to buy the restaurant he works at (in the middle of a major city) is wild.

You boys born in the 50s… lucky ducky’s I tell you (outside of segregation, leaded gas and Nam, that sucks).

“HELLO Mr Bank man, I make 12 dollars an hour, work 28 hours a week and would like to qualify for a 1.5 million dollar loan” would be the modern equivalent

Of course. "Fair share" is highly subjective

Where in nature does a species allow less than 1% of their number to control over 90% of the resources
and share little of it with the rest of them?

Let’s say one thinks it’s fair enough

How do you then process the growing wealth inequality divide?

Is it problematic economically for this country’s future? If so what is there to be done? If not, what about specifically the power dynamics in a democracy of a small group of people holding immensely more power than a large population (top 0.1% income bracket vs bottom 40% or so, or whatever split is relevant).

The economics are one thing, but the threat to Democracy is what strikes fear in my soul for my children.

I believe what one 'thinks' should happen vs reality is often quite different and even incompatible. For example, you are measuring from an equality standpoint. This is a hard pill to swallow, but this country, which is very very obvious, was never founded on equality. Now an empathetic person, or group of people, or an entire movement, will never change this. Not because people are greedy, or the latest generation is too lazy, or from any other vast theories that people conjure up, but because the foundational structure of this country occurred centuries ago. Everything plays a role, including the original 'spirit' of the pilgrims, to the laws, customs, culture and of course later, the current form of governance. If one dismisses all of this and instead pounds on their keyboard demanding modern solutions to antiquated practices, they will not go far. Just take a look at the middle east - Thousands of years of history is what rules today, not a bunch of clowns claiming to be heads of states.

I can't give you an answer of your predicament as I do not share the concern. Its more important we raise the entire standard of living for the entire planet and our species than it is to main status quo for a small subset of the global population. This maybe an unpopular opinion, but democracy is highly overrated in the grand scheme and Im certainly not going to select a fight to defend a bunch of ingrates who can not find happiness is one of the wealthiest countries. Technology has done more for every person on this planet than any ignorant belief structure.

I will not apologize because I defend our species over archaic government structures and I have zero respect for partisan beliefs. I am not proud to be an American because of some religious belief, or even more disgusting, some political structure but because we have very strong property rights - not because I believe people should hold massive amounts of property, but because people can come to this country, invest their lifes work w/out fear of getting fleeced by the parasitic side of our species. This in turn allows unprecedent technology advancements that helps the entire species. Yes, there will be abuse, as in every structure. The productivity from wealth far exceeds its grift.
