In this pre-draft article, Vitale proclaims that Yao Ming will be the biggest bust and that the Rockets should draft Jay Williams and trade SF away.

Instead of promising team of the future, we would get a perennial lottery team.

Interesting to look back and see what people USED to think. Whereas most columnists or analysts have admitted they were wrong, Vitale has been curiously silent about Yao Ming's success so far...

The only way the Rox will regret drafting Yao Ming is if he bolts for a bigger market after his contract is up and that can happen to anyone. I think it's pretty clear that he's not a bust though.

So what alot of people had bad things to say aboot Ming before ever seeing him play they've all been proven wrong!!!!!!!
