Stone and his inept scouts just sped up San Antonio’s rise in the West.

I was for Shepard in that draft, mainly because of the shooting and the assumption that the athleticism would translate to the NBA, it hasn't and neither has the defense or ball handling while the shooting has been hot and cold.

I don't know if the book is written on him or not and I don't think Ime's offense is conducive to anyone being successful but if he doesn't improve dramatically next season - it's time to move on at the deadline.

I've had enough of this waiting 4-5 years for these players to develop and that may be short sighted of me considering how young many of them are when they hit the league, but I'm over it. If by year 3 they haven't fixed most of the things that held them back, it's time to move on, they aren't likely to fix what's broken beyond that point.

It's time to cash in and move on.

What i think what hurt Reeds career the most was Udoka not giving him playing time.

Castle Mins : Career Total: \(4,200\) minutes
Reed Mins : Career Total: \(2,801\) minutes

He has been. He’s been great at playmaking, defense, rebounding, and giving them second chances. Instrumental in all their games. A well rounded 2 way player and future star.

dude he didn’t play because he wasn’t good his first year. That’s like saying Nix would be better his second year if Silas played him more rookie year. That’s logic is a fallacy. Players don’t play because they aren’t doing things the coaching staff wants to see. He got playing time this year and has been inconsistent all year and not so good in the playoffs

i dunno why he’s so hard to stop on the drive but he is. Plays with a lot of contact into the chest of defenders. Sheppard better be taking notes

Just being honest, Sheppard looks timid most of the time. I dunno if he has the competitive temperament to compete at the championship level. The Spurs have a bunch of hard nosed guys around Wembyama. Who’s legit.

Sheppard just isn’t that kind of player. Really don’t know what the thinking is behind drafting him. Caruso has more handles, speed and fight than him. I don’t think he’s timid, he showed some fight in games 4 & 5. Just not consistent. I think Rockets just draft mentally weak guys and may need to get some psychologist on their staff to evaluate these guys mentally before drafting them
