    S&T
    Easton
    For
    Anthony Black

Both help their new teams and benefit from a fresh start and a larger role.

Good on him going for the bag, but I think I'd pass on that contract. He's already 28 and not a great defender.

Yeah, my initial reaction was, that's way too much money for Reaves. The one thing I do wonder--he's played with first LeBron and AD, and now with LeBron and Luka his entire career. Is there any possibility there's more in there (i.e. Brunson) if he were given the opportunity? He's averaging 28, 8 and 5 in 16 games without LeBron this season.

I don't know what the odds are he can replicate that over a full season as the #1 option. I'm inclined to think they're low, but non-zero?

I think he gets beneficial treatment playing for the Lakers. He was 27th in the league in free throw attempts this past year. He is a really good offensive player that would help us considerably and would pair nicely with Amen. I don’t think he gets the max he is shooting for, but we can’t afford him for anything more than 40m a year. I think FA’s are in for a rude awakening this off-season. Teams that are already competing for the championship will use bird rights to go over the 2nd apron, because the inflexibility that comes with being a 2nd apron team is not as painful if you already have an elite roster. OKC and SA are in the unique position of having very tradeable vets and multiple good first round picks from other teams. Barring injuries those two teams will be elite for a decade. I think the Lakers will probably retain Reeves.
