No, they're not the best team. This is still exciting though. Despite their tournament struggles Pitt has been a tough, formidable opponent in the Big East every year. Plenty said Jamie Dixon couldn't follow in Ben Howland's footsteps and he followed that criticism with 20+ win seasons in each of his five years at the helm. They play tough defense and simply just win the right way. They aren't a recruiting mecca. They've never had a McDonald's All-American. Pitt has earned this distinction even if it's held only briefly.
