This is maybe the most brutal thing I've ever heard. No joke, if my mother wrote me an email like this I don't think I could live with myself.

Hegseth has accomplished more than the last several Secretaries of Defense/War combined. Which is why morale and recruitment are so high. The military has put up some historic wins in the last year — and Hegseth deserves a lot of credit. Those are the facts — the childish taunts against him are substance-free. Results matter. And the results are fantastic.

    GOOD DAY

Hahaha morale is high? You braindead cultists live in a complete delusional reality by watching foxnews all day. The overwhelming majority of Gen z have a unfavorable view of Israel and you think morale is high? LOL

By all reporting morale at the Pentagon is at record low. This was done by Partnership for Public Service

Key Findings on Pentagon Morale (March 2026):
Job Satisfaction Plunge: Air Force satisfaction fell from 67 to 38.5 out of 100.
Widespread Disengagement: Army civilian job satisfaction dropped to 48.1 (down from 70.3), and Joint Staff satisfaction fell to 40.6 (down from 63.6).
Low Motivation: Only 9.1% of Army civilian employees believed Pentagon leadership policies motivated the workforce.
Declining Workforce: Nearly 14% of the Pentagon's ~800,000 civilian workforce left in 2025.

Leftists always judge based on emotion rather than on the merits of performance.
That's why they re-elect horrible government leaders.

    Washington Post:

The military will no longer require U.S. troops to receive the annual flu vaccine, Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth said, rolling back what he described as “overreaching mandates that only weaken our war-fighting capabilities.”

US combat fatalities in WWI: 50,385
US forces soldiers killed by the flu in WWI: 46,992

    WWI total cases:

    797,993 cases of influenza
    272,735 of bronchitis
    37,334 of bronchopneumonia
    51,115 of lobar pneumonia

That comes out to a total of 1,159,177 cases of respiratory diseases.

During WWII, getting a flu vaccine was considered a patriotic virtue and there were only localized outbreaks in the military, usually when people were crammed together for extended periods in tight quarters.

Honestly, if I'm China or any other strong adversary who might go against the USA, I'm making sure all my soldiers are required to be immunised (though I'm sure they already do), and then I'm culturing the hell out of the nastiest wild strain of influenza I can find. You can then coordinate introducing it at US military bases around the country and letting virulance do what it naturally wants to do.

Seems like a super easy and mostly untracable and unprovable way to knock out a significant fraction of the US military whenever you'd like. You dont even have to kill anybody (though you absolutley would whether you wanted to or not), but imagine if you could incapacitate like, say, 15% of the personel in the US military for two or three weeks a day or two before you invade Taiwan?

Seems like a huge vunerability we've just created and advertised to all our potential adversaries which didn't exist previously, soley to curry political favor with the MAHA whackos. And its an asymetrical vunerability, because I guarantee you China isn't asking their soldiers if they are irrationally scared of getting autism from vaccines before they get the jab.

This is a bigger national security vunerability that I imagine Kegsbresth realizes, and its all to cater to irrational anti-science political views.
