Was Cintron chugging beers in the clubhouse? This is a totally different team at the plate. Should of fired him after we lost to the Rangers in the ALCS.
Abreu threw a ball over 97 mph and had 3 Ks after the homer. If he can keep his velocity above 97, I think he will be fine as soon as Hader comes back.
According to what I heard from Dana before the opener last week, he said Hader was to resume "full throwing and facing live hitters" mid April. I would think if all goes well he'll do a few BP sessions and then do a rehab assignment which would take him into May, so middle of May rerturn?
This 'infield glut" is going to be exactly what this teams need to keep our best hitters and vets healthy and rested throughout the season. Then you have the "young" guys in the outfield with Loperfido, Cam, Brice not looking too shabby so far either.
You know your team is good when you are a little disappointed in only getting 6 runs. Gotta love that. On a side note, I'm not sure who was madder when Yordan got hit, me or him. Man that p*ssed me off. I do not want him getting hurt, and always worry some pitcher will take a dirty shot trying.
Slow down bragging about the offense. Astros couldn't get one solitary clutch 9th-inning hit against Boston. Damn, mayne !!!
Be patient with Brice. The Astros had solid offers for him and kept him. He may never hit for a high average but he walks, has pop and can play well at a lot of spots. The Astros had several chances to deal him this winter and didn’t -
And he can be instant shot in the arm. I love the idea of he and Loperfido platooning, each getting 350-400 PAs and then having them replace Meyers and Allen (in importance) on 2027 roster.
Dude I was screaming at Crochet thru the TV. Called him every name in the book. What a coward scared to go against him. U can unintentionally walk him. No ****ing need to hit him *******.
