He's RH Jamie Moyer, or a knuckelballer who doesn't throw a knucklleball. You rarely see a RH sloptosser have success like he has so far this year.

Are you saying it's unsustainable/that he's getting lucky? Or just that his stuff is working so far?

Over the course of 162 games (if he stays healthy), he will get knocked around with this sort of stuff.

Even Pete Munro had a few quality starts here and there.... so did Ron Villone. Eventually, the league catches up to you.

Pretty sure I heard him yell "are you sure?" as he rounded third.

He will have some bad games, but he could still be "good" more often than not, plenty good as a #5

Anybody got those RISP numbers handy now? That one 16-4 game did wonders alone... but last night and tonight have continued the trend.

He's great as a #5 honestly I didn't expect this out of him.

Certainly. Hell, in this era where players on all teams have guys who simply cannot make contact with pitches near the zone... perhaps a slop-ball pitcher can carve out a really good season.

Leonys Martin is a hell of a CFer.

He's pitching his ass off right now. Always mixing pitches well, very cagey-veteran-like. I have no idea what he'll do the rest of the year.

Doug Jones saved 300 games, made 5 AS teams and pitched for 16 years and he couldn't break glass with his fastball.
