I don't have high hopes for 4 and that's a shame....................what a waste of talent, he is more of an Instagram type of dude and not an NFL QB
Whatever talent DW4 had is gone. What he has done very well is fulfill his contractual obligations to the letter to ensure the Browns have no recourse but to pay him every single penny of his contract. It's also allowed him to stay on their good side and have the opportunity this year to show a pulse and perhaps extend his career with another team beyond this season. DW4 may be a perverted sleazebag, but beyond some public insensitivity at the beginning, he and his handlers have been on point in maximizing his situation in Cleveland. Hopefully after his last season with the Browns he'll disappear into oblivion and we'll never hear his name again.
Maybe the same philosophy as Green Bay, who picked Aaron Rodgers in the midst of the Favre era and Jordan Love in the midst of the Rodgers era. If McVay believes he can be great, you can give a QB a few years on the bench and then smoothly transition out of the Stafford era. 2-3 years on the bench is a luxury in modern football but it seems like it can pay off.
Also, the Rams have a pretty complete roster already and could afford to punt the 1rd for a future player.
