NBA discussion creating a tourney for bad teams to avoid tanking & determine draft order

Just give every lotto team the same odds. Also have the lottery drawing on camera because we know (spurs/mavs) lottery were rigged.

 

Here's an idea. Remove all teams from the NBA that have never won a Championship. The teams that have been eliminated will now have their rosters reallocated to the remaining teams. Players who should be in the G League go back to the G League. Now the talent level in the NBA should be pretty well even. All teams go into the playoffs and have a chance to compete for the Championship with the worst still playing the best as they are right now. Every team has an equal shot at the 1st pick.

Done.

 

Wouldn't that anger the rest of the owners? While it seems suspect that after trading Doncic Dallas would get the first, it doesn't really make a lot of sense for the league to push Wemby to SA over any other market. And 28 other teams would be okay with that? Just seems like the league brass wouldn't be so foolish to do that...twice. I've heard that "allegedly" a few owners have said privately they think it was rigged, but it just seems too outlandish to me. The owners would have some pretty strong feelings towards Adam Silver.

 

Maybe they should fire Silver.
