All these trade threads, all these negative threads... how about a little positivity? We don't have to look further than Aaron Brooks and Carl Landry and the recognition they are receiving (and deservedly so). Here's just another article containing both of 'em:

G. Aaron Brooks, Rockets -- Brooks has appeared in our column only one time this season, but you can't deny he's picked up where he left off from last season's playoffs. We've often wanted to put Brooks in this space more than he's appeared, but on a week-to-week basis, he always seemed to miss out on a spot whether it was due to a Houston mini-swoon or another guard simply having a better week. Much like Carl Landry (who we'll get to later), Brooks has emerged as one of the key pieces to Houston's future and the Rockets are at their best when he takes charge. He's got a good shot at the Most Improved Player of the Year award on this stat alone: among players who played at least 1,000 minutes last season, he's had the biggest jump in points per game (+7.4). And, oh yeah, Houston is 15-9 this season when Brooks passes the 20-point mark (compared to 12-15 when he doesn't). There's little doubt the Rockets would be toiling among the Warriors and Kings of the West were it not for Brooks' standout play.

In the first two months of the season, Landry had gone from an off-the-bench scorer and rebounder to a go-to player down the stretch of games. He played a big role in shutting down some well-known players (such as David West) and his Rockets were staying in the thick of the Southwest Division race. After getting off to a 20-13 start, though, Houston has gone 7-11 and its struggles in getting Landry the ball have played a key role in Houston's slump. That teams are focusing so much on Landry is a testament to his improvement this season. How he and the Rockets adjust to that challenge as the season wears on will be a testament to how much Landry truly has improved.

Not only that, but most "analysts" predicted us to be well under .500 this season. Guess what? We're over .500 still. Go go positivty!
