Astros are back home today, and they're enjoying the off day. But, the grind continues down in the system.

    All times Central.

    Oklahoma City vs. Omaha, 7:05

    [IMG] [IMG]

Philip Humber (0-2, 5.73 in AAA) vs. Everett Teaford (2-2, 2.79)

The Redhawks will look for a 3-1 lead in this rather unusual 6-game series. There will be a doubleheader tomorrow. They'll actually play 3 doubleheaders this week. And yes, Philip Humber is 0-10 this season.

    Corpus Christi is off

The Texas League All-Star Game is tomorrow at 6:00 at Arvest Ballpark, home of the Northwest Arkansas Naturals. George Springer and Jake Buchanan will participate, and then it's off to OKC for them.

    Lancaster @ Bakersfield, 9:45

    [IMG] [IMG] [IMG]

    Tyson Perez (2-4, 6.75) & David Rollins (7-4, 4.07) vs. Carlos Contreras (3-6, 3.65)

Well, here's the latest start to an Astros minor league game this season. You think a 9:00 start is bad? Well, the Jethawks and Blaze will be pushing 10:00 when they hit the field.

    Quad Cities is off

They'll be hitting the road for a 4-game series in Peoria starting tomorrow at 7:00.

    Tri-City @ Connecticut, 6:05

Starters for both teams are TBD. I'm assuming that Andrew Walter will start with Michael Feliz coming out of the bullpen.

    Greeneville vs. Elizabethton, 6:00

Jordan Mills (0-0, 0.00) vs. Randy Rosario (season debut)

Mills threw a scoreless inning on Thursday, but I'm thinking he'll be a part of the rotation moving forward. Rosario, his opponent, looks to have a lot of promise. We'll see him as an opponent next year too, either back in Elizabethton or in Cedar Rapids.

The GCL Astros are currently facing the Tigers in Lakeland. They have a 3-1 lead in the 3rd. Brandon Culbreth got the start for the GCLstros; Jason Martin is 1-2 with a run scored, Brett Booth has an RBI double, and Jake Nottingham drew a bases-loaded walk.

Michael Feliz went 5 innings and allowed 2 unearned runs (both in the 2nd) on 2 hits and struck out 4 for Tri-City. Unfortunately, he's on the hook for a loss, as the ValleyCats trail Connecticut 2-0 in the 6th.

The GCL Astros beat the Tigers 5-4 in Lakeland this afternoon. Jason Martin was 1-4 with a walk, 2 runs scored, and a steal (3). Tyler White was 2-3 with a double and 2 runs scored. Brandon Culbreth, an 8th-round pick in 2011, threw 5 strong innings, allowing a run on 4 hits, walking 1, and striking out 7.

The Academy defeated the Royals 3-2, with all 3 RBI coming off the bat of Jesus Bermejo. He hit a sac fly in the 4th and put his team ahead with a 2-run homer (1) in the 6th.

Unfortunately, the ValleyCats were shut out for the first time this season. Feliz is the hard-luck loser.
