ESPN: "A source told ESPN that Durant sustained the injury during practice this week, but the Rockets are optimistic his knee will not be a significant issue during the series." Clueless front office. It already IS a significant issue.
dude got hurt on Wednesday and is out on sunday. yeah it's over. NBA is not going to let the Rockets win. The refs are gonna be crazy in bron's *******.
I haven't been a fan of KD ever since he bolted OKC to join the Warriors. Classic front runner, who isn't a leader and never will be.
I don't care what anyone says...that KD trade was a mistake. Although he's great, he's not winning a championship here with this current roster. If the Rockets were smart they'd trade him this offseason, but they won't.
Ime says the starting lineup tonight is Reed, Okogie, Amen, Jabari, and Sengun. Does he realize that lineup has a net rating of -9.9 during the regular season?
Idk what other option you have. Basically first playoffs for Reed, he’s gonna be nervous as hell - and the bench is a whole lot of nothing if you start Tari instead. I don’t think Holiday is a serious option either. We might be cooked down the series unless KD is back or Jabari and Reed goes hot. They will pack the paint like crazy but maybe choose to defend Jabari or Reed more intensely, which might let Amen sneak in. But JJR I feel is too smart to fall for that more than a couple times. Tough, tough situation.
In a fair contest, the Rockets still beat the Lakers. But this ain't going to be a fair contest. I won't even believe that this injury is real.
Nah. If we lose to a Lakers team missing Luka and AR, I’ll just say it’s more evidence that the development of our young guys has been below expectations and that Ime is not a good enough coach.
