I'm agreeing that Ivey has a right to his opinions and should be able to verbalize them without being ostracized.
I definitely did choose my side, I don't base evaluations of athletes on which God/Gods/Goddesses they believe in, because that'd be ****ing stupid af. Imagine signing somebody who is complete ass, was let go for absolutely nothing and thinking that's valid because "we have the same God?" r****ded, go to church together if you want, it's got **** all to do with basketball!
That's partially fair, freedom of speech isn't freedom of consequences for said speech. If his toxic way of displaying his faith could potentially harm his employer's bottom line, they have just as much right to get him gone (which they did.) If you call me a cunt in a bar, I'm punching you in the face, I'll defend your right to get your ass kicked because of your stupid mouth though all day every day. See how that works? It's funny though, it always seems to be very one sided, it's only ok when y'all agree with what's being said. Would you be this vehemently defending somebody who was doing nothing but espousing for LGBTQ rights? Something suggest to me probably not, if so the reason you just gave is completely invalid.
Do it all the time. Had that shoved down my throat 24/7 (pun intended) since '08. I'm not a Bible beater but I also don't like to hear one peoples views on repeat to the point that it's practically brain washing. I also don't want to hear Bible beaters screaming from the roof tops all day either.
He's mocked for being a religious nutjob. Proud Christian = @sshole . As I'm not sure what is Christ like about what he's saying. Harden was a top 5 for much of his Rockets tenure. He put those girls through college.
So, the season-ending injury was fake? Bulls' Jaden Ivey, Jalen Smith out rest of season with injuries - ESPN
He isn't following Christ at all, Christ said love your enemies - he is being Christian Nationalist which preaches hate. Christ preached love. BIG difference - it is all mythology anyway - but Christ like should be about what he was like, and Jesus wasn't calling out anyone, he was protecting everyone. He didn't die for just Christians sins, now did he? DD
I couldn’t care less about Ivey’s beliefs, but I do care about the impact he could have on the team. Based on what I’ve read, he could be a disruptive presence. I hope we don’t have any interest.
Exactly. I was also looking into what he said and he didn’t attack the LGBT community. He was expressing his beliefs versus the NBAs. I think it’s way over the top to release him over that.
“this is not about me, this is about the kingdom of God” holy sh*t, this clown has lost it When people start getting over the top religious, that’s when it’s time to keep your distance because 99% of the time they end up being weird AF and someone nobody wants to be around. if he had any brains, he’d delete and stay off all social media, but he’s clearly spiraling this dude is on a plane rambling about Steph Curry…he doesn’t need God, he needs an intervention
