Okay so I checked my cable box and saw that channel 292 is ESPN HD on time warner but it says not authorized so i checked the web and called in. It's part of another HD package called HD PLus which is another $3 a month.

I knew they were going to charge for it but it kinda sucks that you have to pay an extra fee to get the chanell. You do get 2 other channels in the package which are HDNet and HD Movies. I guess i will see how those are when i get home.

Sweet! I think I will call up and get it. I have been waiting for ESPN HD to hit Houston. You would think there would have been a lil more fanfare about it though.

Considering that the reason why Time Warner Houston was one of the last vestiges yet to have picked up ESPN HD, you can understand that the price of the package was a big reason for it.

Honestly, if I had HD equipment... I'd be fine with just that channel only... i'm pretty jealous.

Yeah it took a long time to get it becuase they were trying to work out the pricing from ESPN and didn't know if they had to charge people or not and how much they were going to charge.

yeah that happens on fox a lot actually. That is one of the channels i have seen that does that. It's like you get a loss in signal for a second then it comes back. Must have to do with their feed or the feed coming from Time Warner.

This Wisconsin game looks outstanding on ESPNHD!!! Thanks Stack for posting about it. This might be the best looking HD broadcast I have seen in awhile. Tonight is a good night for Cable HDTV viewers, Yankees/Red Sox are on INHD as well.

Yeah they have like one of the primetime ones in HD.

DC - I just got home finally after being at work and put it on as well. The picture is amazing for ESPN HD. I guess the know how to spend the money to get a great picture.

Now my cable tv is perfect. DVR and ESPNHD. I wonder what time warner is going to do without my harrasing emails every week?;)
