I know it's only a few summer league games and Jay Williams is playing slightly hurt, but Wagner is playing HUGE, while Williams is not showing anything spectacular. Wagner has already dropped 35 and 28 points in his last SPL games. Here's their performance in the SPL so far(3 games for Wagner and 2 for Williams) :

    PPG Avg:Wagner-22.7 Williams-13.5

    FG%:Wagner-53% Williams-46%

    3pt%:Wagner-45% Williams-50%

    Assists avg:Wagner-2.67 Williams-2.5

    Steals avg:Wagner-1 Williams-1.5

    Turnover avg:Wagner-1.67 Williams-5

I put out these stats only as a conversational piece and not as an absolute prediction on how they will perform in the NBA. But is anyone a little suprised in these 2 player's performance so far? Anyone think Wagner will do better in the NBA than Williams?

I'm a bit surprised, but I don't put much into that. Jason Collier got 2 double-digit point games in the summer league. I would think Jay would do better than that, but by season's come, he should be ready.

Wagner's been impressive in his summer league games. The part that surprised me most was his efficiency and FG%. No real evidence of his supposed PG skills yet but it's still early.

I think the more interesting comparision is between Jamal Crawford and Jay Williams. From what I've seen Crawford's been showing quite clearly who should be starting at the 1 for the Bulls next season. And his name ain't Jay.
