That makes a lot of sense and I completely agree with you. However, I still do not think the correct method of going about this problem is to just admit the racial minority most if not all the time (as affirmative action would attempt to do). I would much rather socioeconomic factors be substituted in consideration instead of race. Keep in mind I'm not arguing this policy for jobs and workplaces, I'm strictly speaking about affirmative action being used for the admissions process for colleges and universities. Although... for this case in general I'm not buying the whole discrimination against whites crap that Fischer is claiming. She had a chance to get into the top 10%. She had the opportunity, it was there for the taking. She didn't get in. She was not denied opportunity. She had, proportionally, the same opportunity as any other kid from any other school that got into the top 10%.
