Duhhh! You get what you pay for. You should have listened to us. I'm still shocked that anyone would buy a car without driving it, or in the case of a used car, getting it checked out by a trusted mechanic.
Don't mean to be an a**hole, but... I know this is your first car purchase, but let it be a lesson to you. Don't buy the car without checking it out first. Unfortunately the Lemon Laws in Texas are designed to protect the seller much moreso than the buyer. But it's something you should look into, nonetheless. BTW, I used to date a chick in HS that had a teal '93 Cavalier coupe, and it used to shake like crazy at over 60 mph.
