Birthright citizenship is one of the main reasons we assimilate immigrants better than European countries do. They become contributing citizens quicker, as opposed to a permanent underclass. Additionally, for all you natalists out there, birthright citizenship yields more babies that can grow up as Americans and learn and fit in with our culture and values from the very beginning of their life. All at a time when the birthrate from parents who are U.S. citizens is declining precipitously.
the 14th amendent denier is confused and all mixed--up. Quoting the work of Pulitzer Prize–winning Yale historian David Blight, the leading expert on the 14th amendment, Justice Jackson delivers 'blistering' legal smackdown of Thomas’ dissenting opinion, as it brings "a political and racial ideology in search of a history that's not there," “Despite his longstanding endorsement of a ‘colorblind’ Constitution, Justice Thomas now surprisingly suggests that the Citizenship Clause was a race-conscious remedial measure, relating only to ‘freed slaves such as Dred Scott,’” Jackson wrote. “Justice Thomas’s telling elides the entire point of the Second Founding: The Reconstruction Amendments were an anticaste, antisubordination reset for the Nation, not a mere spot treatment for the dark stain of slavery,” she wrote.
Something I’m curious about, would that child be obligated to pay US income taxes until they renounce their US citizenship even if they weren’t aware they were a US citizen (AKA accidental American).
You all lost. Your own super majority SCOTUS said you are wrong. You all are absurd and disgusting. Pick your battles better.

why is basso so afraid of the 14th amendment to the US Constituion ? like other sufferers of the 14th amendment derangement syndrome, basso is bringing a political and racial ideology in search of a history that's not there
*scrolls past 300 post saying it’s unconstitutional and if you want this law changed it’s going to need enough political support for an amendment* *sees B-Bob post a YouTube clip from a comedy movie* Basso: Ah, so you want to argue do you tough guy?
It's funny how people complain about someone identifying as "Asian-American" or "Chinese-American" but you don't hear those people complaining about how many identify as "Irish-American" on St. Patrick's day and wear buttons saying "Kiss me I'm Irish". Maybe on Chinese New Year I should wear a button saying "Kiss me I'm Chinese".
the 14th amendment deniers, such as basso / spacey and others of the same ilk, are chipping away at the boldest wager ever placed on human liberty
