2026 West Semifinals: (2) San Antonio Spurs Vs. (6) Minnesota Timberwolves

Perhaps because of the layoff, Spurs were not ready for the T-Wolves intensity in game 1 and almost won anyway despite Victor and Fox being complete dogs on offense.

In game 2, Spurs look like an athletic top 2-3 defensive team that is smothering an opponent that just does not have enough horses to hang with them. Victor and Fox did a great job of bouncing back and jump-starting their offense in the 1st quarter.

I expect both the T-Wolves and their home crowd to be volcanic in game 3 and we'll see how the Spurs react. If they match the T-Wolves physicality over 48 mins, this series should end 4-1.

Can't wait for Friday. Things that should happen don't always happen.

Wemby is game breaking especially when he's allowed to goaltend. There's just no combating that. He's in the Wolves players heads

 

Other players sometimes goaltend when they go for blocks and get away with it. The difference is this guy is getting so many of them it completely changes the game. It goes from maybe 1 missed call to a 10 point game swing.

Spurs role players being randomly good at shooting is mad annoying. I get Wemby beating you but when Vassell, Johnson, Champagnie knock down jumpers it's irritating. These are no names.
