My bold prediction: Cenac will be available at 39. And I'm not sure I'd take him. That shot is broke. Dunno, though-- he's young, maybe he can still turn into Tim Duncan.

Anyone out there know how JT Toppin's rehab's going? That kid had some dawg in him.

    Cenac’s shot is not “broke”

Kid has a damn good soft jumper for his size and age. He’s gonna be automatic as he ages. He is a top 25 pick. I could see him go # 18-20.

I hope you are right. He has a flying elbow, which puts needless vectors into play when he's shooting NBA 3s-- or even FTs. While he shot 48.5% / 33.3% / 62.1% for his UH season, that sweet sixteen performance was painful to witness. He's got a lot to work with though, and I'm rooting for him to turn into the second coming of Timmy D!

He had a bad game. He was a freshman on a huge stage. It happens. Jwan Roberts was in his 14th year in the program and missed 9 layups against Florida and the Coogs lost by 2. Cenac and his jumper (and rebounding) were a huge reason we even got to the sweet 16.

Most mocks have him going in the 20's.

I'd rather have Henri Veesaar from North Carolina. 7 footer, good defender, finishes well in the paint, rim runner option and shoots 42% from 3, under rated passer. Projected to go in the 2nd.

I think outside of the Top 12-13 there is no real consensus no more.....

I suspect enough teams would still take Need over BPA.

IMO, Cenac's NBA career looks like the 2nd coming of Tristan Thompson.

I don't see how their games/skills are comparable at all.

But a 13 year NBA career is nothing to sneeze at.

Thomas Haugh pulled out of the draft too. So, the 2027 draft just got a bit less dire by way of a couple of talented white guys. Although neither of those guys are exactly Cooper Flagg.

Yeah shet, Haugh I can understand, the Gators forked up and he is probably staying to fight for a National Championship. Also Alex Condon.

Don't tell me, Trevon Brazile is climbing the ranks due to PFs going back to school.

BTW Haugh should be more of a much taller Caruso type Forward.....not as Playoffs proven.

Both are very strong, physical rebounders in traffic and I think Cenac will grow into a tough post defender in the NBA. We'll see if Cenac's has TT's nasty disposition too.

If Cenac becomes a good mid-range or 3-point shooter, he'll obviously be on a completely different level than TT.

Not sure how any rockets fan has the stomach to research the 2026 draft knowing that stone fumbled away our pick. But my dream scenario is for us to trade into the top 6 and draft Darius Acuff Jr.
