Democrats across the board believe in following the rule of law, the constitution, and upholding democracy. When they lose elections… they leave office. They are NOT golden god messiah strongmen. They are a collection of flawed human beings. So if I was to say that X Democrat is a “competent and fair” politician, I would then be giving you the opportunity to look up their full history, and cherry pick every thing they’ve ever done in life which is your obvious goal here in your lazy method of debate & influence. Instead look at the glaring difference in principles across the spectrum of people that makeup what you refer to as “democrats”… even though the Democratic Party coalition is actually a collection of sub parties that are unified under protecting democracy, and the basic rights of healthcare, social security, right to vote, etc. What unifies these flawed “democrats” are good things while what unifies the MAGA right is nothing more than hatred, grievance, corruption, and the power to dominate. You said it yourself that you align with Trump on those issues you just wish he was more effective… which is a pretty big tell that nobody here that does care about something like Democracy, healthcare, voting rights, etc. should ever step into a discussion with you thinking you’ll ever come into that not trying to achieve exactly what I said your goal is… to lighting criticize Trump to get engagement, and then torch Trumps opposition to the point where you’d be a fool NOT to support Trump. The 2020 election was indeed weird. We were in the middle of a pandemic, so more people were voting early and voting by mail. And, of course, Trump made wild claims about being the winner and then had his gang of conspirators try to illegally change the outcome. Weird indeed, and Trump is still up to his old tricks leading up to the midterms.
I stated that elections were very poorly handled and completely out of the norm, whether I believe it was stolen or that Elvis Presley was an alien does not matter. What does matter is the speculation such incompetence my cause. Two things about the 2020 election standout. 1. Mail in voting was never designed for such massive numbers and was already being talked about as a potential risk to the results leading up the election. 2. Blue counties is where the biggest mishaps happened, this wasn't just slow counts this was entire facility shut downs for hours before going back online and reporting massive dumps that were one sided. Is any of this evidence for cheating? fraud? a stolen election? Of course not, but to try and brush it off as normal and no big deal is bs. 2020 will always live in infamy because it was a disaster. With all that said, I think Trump should have stfu about it a long time ago. I've even stated that before on this forum. Its done, its over. It changes nothing for me.
