Shame maybe, but not enough pride to put in the work unless there's a new contract on the line. His faith has nothing to do with this. Do you think he's got a burning desire to win like Brady, Mahomes, Manning? I dont see this, maybe you do and I hope you're right.
CJ definitely doesn't possess the Favre gene, but I think he wants to be the best. Not necessarily because of self pride, but to live up to the expectations of his family, friends, fans and his God. It's hard to understand if you're a completely different person. Not everyone is the same. Some people push for greatness solely for personal fame. Others do it to make those they care about proud of them. Will CJ succeed, we'll soon find out.
Does it look like he put in the work after his rookie year to you? If he did actually put in the work and these are the results that the Texans have gotten over the last 2 years then this franchise is really screwed.
Others just hate to lose and will do whatever it takes be it film study/taking care of their bodies/on field stuff to try there best to avoid losing. I dont see CJ being wired this way, other posters say they see this in CJ and I hope they're right.
Agreed but which is it? Neither speaks well of CJ. Either he didn't put the work in which is a big problem. Or he did put the work in and these are the results, which is a bigger problem.
CJ put on two of the worst QB performances of "all time" to end the season. That would motivate me to redeem myself, big time. We will see how it affects him. If he fumbles and bumbles to start the season, I think his time in Houston will be over. They won't max him and will likely try to find a trading partner. You might say, who would be stupid enough to take him? The Browns took Watson!
My normal process is to DDG Houston Texans, videos and last day. Sometimes I add long form. I haven't joined any social networks like YouTube or X simply because I don't trust them. The downside is I can't like or subscribe to many of the podcasts I like such as anything Seth Payne is on or producing. Some act like the Texans should give CJ the vault and try to insert their own opinion that CJ will take it as an insult.
