I'm agreeing that Ivey has a right to his opinions and should be able to verbalize them without being ostracized.

 

With the amount of immorality in the sports world, I'm sure it was good for some of them to hear it.

 

I definitely did choose my side, I don't base evaluations of athletes on which God/Gods/Goddesses they believe in, because that'd be ****ing stupid af. Imagine signing somebody who is complete ass, was let go for absolutely nothing and thinking that's valid because "we have the same God?" r****ded, go to church together if you want, it's got **** all to do with basketball!

 

That's partially fair, freedom of speech isn't freedom of consequences for said speech. If his toxic way of displaying his faith could potentially harm his employer's bottom line, they have just as much right to get him gone (which they did.) I couldn’t care less about Ivey’s beliefs, but I do care about the impact he could have on the team. Based on what I’ve read, he could be a disruptive presence. I hope we don’t have any interest.

Exactly. I was also looking into what he said and he didn’t attack the LGBT community. He was expressing his beliefs versus the NBAs. I think it’s way over the top to release him over that.
