Signing him before doesnt help. We still have to make enough cap space to offer Howard Max.. Which is why we are looking to move Robinson in the firs place.
Even if it is after.. We would be charge of nearly 5 mil in cap. Which equates to a massive LT. I doubt les would be willing to pay that unless he knew for sure that this team would make the finals
I think if Portland is interested in anything we got its going to be Asik, Picks we get for Trob, if not trob himself, Tjones, and beverley. I have a feeling if this was going to happen, the rockets would be seeking a 3rd team to get Lin off there hands.
Jvu... The cap us projected to be at 71.6mill... While the cap is projected to be 58.5 mill and that proposed trade would put us 5 mill over the cap but no where near the lux tax... My problem with trading for lma after signing Dwight would be that it would cost us asik and Parsons to start... With Dwight i dont mind losing asik, but Parsons is a diff story...

Rob & Lin Atl Out: Horford & swap Pick with Por. the reason why i think Por does this trade is they get a great C and then move Hickson to PF. so their line up would be Lillard - Mathews - Batum - Hickson - Horford The reason why i think ATL does this trade is they get to move up to # 10 spot and that pick they can turn around with another pick + cash and move up higher or they can keep that and then re-sign J.Smith and their line up looks like Lin - Williams - J.Smith -(FA) / T.Rob - Rookie at 5. with that they have plenty of room in cap also. Rockets does this so they get Howard and get to keep Asik and sign Bledsoe since Paul gonna stick around in LAC due to Doc. Bledsoe - Harden - Parsons - Aldridge - howard What do you guys think?

Not that I want to lose Omer, nor do I think Philadelphia management / ownership can get it together to make a trade. But Philly wants bigs, and we need the cap space. And we want a pick-and-stash. If the 76ers renounce Bynum, I don't think Nick Young's cap hold would preclude this sort of trade. We still have a decent, slightly cheaper backup 5. We gain about 5.5 million in cap space and the chance to draft an international we'll-see-you-next-year player. I actually am giving up too much, but the cap savings is worth something. And Omer will leave in 2 years anyway if we get Dwight.

how about after Morey signs Howard cha gets: Asik, T Jones, Gsmith, rockets 2014 and 2015 first round pick portland gets: T rob, james anderson, ben gordon (stick with me) Char 4th overall and houstons 2016 first round pick and 2017 second round pick Houston gets: LMA Cha does it for talent that can help now and to shed ben gordon portland does it for young talent (nerlens noel) and ben gordons expiring contract (also i think bg would be alright in a 6th man role when lilliard goes to the bench) houston does it for obvious reasons, ships
In order to give up Asik we would have to be sure that Dwight was going to sign. For the Aldridge deal I was thinking of TRob is already shipped out some other team for their 1st rounder. So just subtract his salary from our cap. That would leave us with being able to offer Portland Asik and a couple of our power forwards (and probably the 1st rounder we got for Trob)... I think that'd still leave us scratching for a mil or two to sign Dwight out right. Portland would do it because they've been wanting a center for years and Hickson might go somewhere else as a FA. Still, Aldridge would be an amazing pick up for us... spreading the floor, rebounds, decent defense. He'd be a great PF to pair with Dwight because he wouldn't clog the lane but could still hold his own. If we were running: Lin/Bev Harden Parsons Aldridge Dwight That's just really really solid imo plus we'd have all those guys signed for definitely the next two seasons.
