This scenario would make the team better. If you noticed, there is also a plus defender in the trade with Jeff Taylor. Thomas was just a throw in. Sessions is better or equal to Lin as far as output, hence the +2 wins.
if it's about getting a plus defender, just use some exception or even vet minimum to find him. Thomas is a horrible throw in. You add money with that deal, add a contract that begs for an amnesty, and I very much doubt the team really gets better.
Are you kidding me? Thomas is one of the worst contracts in the league, you don't take him as a 'throw in'.
the Hawks forum looks pretty cool too, i could be Donatas' fanboy there http://hawksquawk.net/community/forum/1-homecourt/
Do you guys think the rumors of BOS blowing up the team are true? If so I wonder if Rajon Rondo could be had?
By blowing up.. i think they are listening for Trade options of kevin Garnett and paul pierce.. Doubt rondo is available unless the get a star in return. I think KG is too old and pierce is vastly overrated (2-3 playoffs where I've witnessed a 5-18 shooting performance).
I think Rondo is the most likely superstar alreayd under contract to be traded this summer. If we sign Dwight I can see a potential Asik/Lin/TRob trade for Rondo/Crawford type trade going down with the possibility of flipping Rondo to the Clippers for a re-signed Chris Paul. All this talk about Pierce/Garnett to the Clippers for Blake is nothing but probing by both teams to see what is available. I'm sure the Clippers want contingency plans in place in case Paul wants to leave. I can see them wanting Rondo as Paul's replacement.
Probly have to be either Lin or Beverly for Bledsoe. Bledsoe, if not playing behind CP3, would be a starting PG. Although, he does need to be a better floor general, but he wouldn’t need to in Houston since Harden already is the primary ball handler and playmaker.
HOU IN Granger HOU OUT Thomas Robinson, Greg Smith, Future protected 1st, Future 2nd IND IN Thomas Robinson, Greg Smith, Future protected 1st, Future 2nd IND OUT Granger I wanted to do something kinda unexpected. A offseason trade for Granger and have him play as a Melo/stretch 4. i think this team would be dangerous with Granger healthy. PG: Lin SG: Harden SF: Parsons PF: Granger C: Asik
Not sure if they would part with him for that cheap, but if they would, it would obviously be worth the risk. I guess him being a free agent next year, and the emergence of Paul George might motivate them so who knows really?
Well Indiana could lose David west, and decide to rebuild around George properly... So I'm going to play Indy.. I just lose west, i look for an alternative... I don't have enough fit a millsap or Smith so i target a Landry type... Sign him for a 2-3yr deal and look for a potential high upside replacement... Granger is good, and i need his offense, but maybe i can acquire a future replacement along with some youth and assets... In comes Morey... I'll give you Thomas Robinson, terrence Jones, Beverly, and a couple seconds... Indiana loves defense and they get it along with some upside.. Houston out t.rob, t.jones, bev, two 2nds Houston in Granger Houston Lin/brooks Harden/anderson Parsons/tbd Granger/dmo Asik (maybe Dwight :grin Id take it, especially if we get Dwight
