In this specific video she is clearly stating her frustration that the first woman senator in SC should have been elected not just given the position. She sees it as a historical thing, is not that she is against a woman being a senator.

An article I read said Lindsey was a closeted gay man and the possible reason he was sucking up to Trump was because he was afraid Trump would use it against him so he became his #1 ally instead. Claimed that's the reason for his flip on Trump and heaping the praise on Trump all of the time. Now, I don't know if any of that is true. I just read it somewhere the other day. Graham didn't want to be in Trump's cross-hairs so buddy up and Trump will heap praise on you.

Pretty much everybody figured Graham was gay. While I'm guessing Graham went to enormous lengths to make sure it was never publicly known, I don't think it's what motivated his Trump flip. I think it's much simpler than that. Graham was just a craven opportunist. As soon as it became politically expedient to back Trump, he did. He was merely a vessel for other people's ideas and ambitions in exchange for power. Nothing more.
