Take out Spaghetti early who is dealing and on a low pitch count but leave in Burrows who continues to get shelled. Both instances going to result in losses. Espada for you.
Honestly I’m glad he left that loser in to get shelled. He’s probably sick of being forced to start his sorry ass. There’s zero chance Dana can keep him on the roster after this.
Burrows has had zero starts this season that went great. He has had maybe 2 starts that were solid. The rest of his starts, including tonight's obviously, has been bad to abysmal. He might be the worst starting pitcher the Astros have had in at least a decade. It doesn't matter what the pitching injury situation is, you simply cannot have someone THIS bad take the mound every 5-6 games for a team that's expected to at least be competitive. A competent manager would have booted him from the rotation long ago. A competent GM would have removed him from the roster long ago. Incompetence abounds throughout this team's front office.
Correctomundo. As long as Burrows is on the roster, Espada had no choice but to use him. They've already tried him in the bullpen.
Well the 6+ ERA and knack for giving up home runs are very reminiscent. Although Burrows will match the number of home runs prior to the all-star break as well, should he get one more start.
That part about zero great starts is patently untrue His awfulness speaks for itself, you don't need to make stuff up to make him sound extra bad. The organization hasn't had as many pitching misfires in years as we have had in this one season. Simply isn't the same team at evaluation anymore.
