Koa almost fell to the 2nd round which actually makes up for all those players going back to their NIL money.
Have any players who have "looked like steals" in an NBA draft actually turned out to be a steal? There are steals in every draft but almost every player that drops that people say "might be a steal" almost inevitably proves to everyone why they dropped.
Stone's like that guy you play dominos with that takes all day to make his move, and when he finally plays, someone comes behind and slams a domino on the table to score 20.
The Rockets front office lacks the balls to make a dramatic move like trading up to get Flemings, Acuff or Graves - regardless of how much they like them as players. I should have known better.
Houston Rockets getting Meleek Thomas at 39 and Richie Saunders at 53 would be a dream draft. Thomas brings the upside, Saunders brings the winning intangibles. I'd be ecstatic if Houston landed both.
wow I never knew this or forgot. Idiot. The Rockets originally held the No. 44 overall pick. They drafted Pelle Larsson (Arizona), but traded him immediately on draft night to the Miami Heat.
I didn't watch one second of the draft. Hell, I don't even know who half of these players are that went in the 1st round. All I know is the Rockets weren't going after any of them. For this 2nd round, it's just going to be another Stone draft picking a couple of scrubs that'll ride the bench and will trade off in a couple seasons.
My order for tomorrow 39. 1. Thomas 2. Thornton 3. Evans 4. Brazile 5. Veesaar 53. 1. Saunders 2. Sharp 3. Baba
Ironically, he was a guy Riley didn’t want to give up in the Giannis trade because they believe he can be a high-level role player on a championship team.
