I agree with the, we achieved nothing, but that's not the military's fault it's the lack of any game plan by the people that are in charge

    That's all I'm saying

    It’s a clear strategic loss.

Tactically, I don’t even know if we won, to be honest. This is no fault of the people executing the plan, but of the person sitting in the office with the war plan. We were precise and accurate (except for that school). But reportedly, we didn’t actually take out most of their missiles and couldn’t protect our allies and military bases from their cheap, small drones.

If that is remotely true than this conflict started by Trump and Bibi is costing Americans a fortune. The sickest part of all is that Trump is demanding another 1.5 trillion.

None of this money will make our healthcare more affordable or address the issues the average American is facing to get by.

The death rattle of baby boomers and their offspring who never understood how their halcyon days actually worked and resent being asked to learn about it.

The first thing we do is hold the people that put us in this situation accountable with how we vote and what we will and will not accept from our leaders. The second thing that we do is look at those that benefit from this and those that have attempted to push this - and hold them accountable.

As for what we do to solve this -- it is a really good question isn't it? I think that we likely should use this as an excuse to change our foreign policy in the Middle East. I don't think that bombing or attacking Iran is something that the USA will tolerate at this point. I also think that the USA should stop funding Israel. The USA certainly does not need to be enemies with Israel, but they do not represent US interests. There has been too much war and conflict the last 25 years.

The military was severely limited in what they could do.

Also - the US military really was not designed or geared towards a war with Iran, it has been off the table for many decades.

War is changing --- but I have no doubt that the US military could have gone into Iran and taken the country, but the cost of lives of US soldiers would be huge. Iran is a massive nation, the terrain is difficult and fighters from around the world would join Iran.

The issue - is like most wars.... same with Vietnam and even Korea, how much pain are we willing to take to win.

What a colossal failure by Trump and his administration.
If you were an adversary of a country with whom you could not compete with at any level, you could not do better than to install a fool like Trump.
Everything he touches, turns to crap.

"it's different when they/we do it" might as well be written into the republican platform at this point

The fact that Vance is more concerned about Iranian hardliner media propaganda tells you everything. The Iranian hardliners are now fully in control.

Whatever moderates were in Iran are gone. You now have a country that is far more likely to push for a nuke than ever before. And if and when they do, it will squarely be in the hands of religious hardliners.

The US not only didn't accomplish anything (which actually would have been a better outcome), they have made Iran worse and more dangerous. Really pissed off. I don't have much hope in this team, but I do wish they could end up with some good nuke deal.

Trump hated Obama's deal with Iran because Obama made the deal ... therefore the deal is the worst deal ever. Trump does not use facts on the ground to make his decisions. Trump's primary concern is how he can market what he does and how that enhance his brand. Trump could sell that the black-man-bad deal had to be discarded, without giving any evidence.

Trump does not have a plan. He never does. Trump killed Obama's deal but did not have a next step in the plan. Trump at times said he could negotiate a better deal, but then did not when given a chance.

Trump is not a deep thinker. Trump thought that Iran would rollover (despite what every domain expert told him) and a quick war with Iran would raise his approval rating. Trump thought himself the smartest man in the room and thus knew better.

Trump does what he wants and **** the rules. Trump before he started the war should have addressed the American people about why Iran needed to be bombed, about what the war would need to accomplished and about how there was a clear exit strategy. Trump did none of this. Many weeks after he started the war, Trump tested many PR campaigns about why he started the war ... Iran would retaliate against US ME bases after Israel started bombing ... the US supported the Iranian people and their quest for democracy ... and settled on ... Iran can not ever get a nuke (even though US intel had the consensus opinion that Iran was not actively doing so). Again Trump does not need facts on the ground; he just needs a sellable media narrative.

    And here we are.

The US and Iran have a MOU, though neither party has a good track record of being truthful or keeping promises. The MOU is one Israeli attack on Iranian interests away from being discarded. If anything, Israel and Bibi are the most trustworthy of the whole bunch. Bibi says Israel will continue fighting Iran since it is in their self interest. I suspect that Israel will.

I'm sure the Admin is already plotting ways to declare that Iran is not in compliance with the agreement and pull back the money.

Macron is probably thinking WTF due, you just made a worse problem, and you spent Billions over the past few months and got Americans killed......................for WHAT!! You made Iran even stronger...........but hey, the hate Obama speech is in the playbook when something goes wrong

The ART of the Deal............................LOL, the orange man is by far the worst negotiator in presidential history, this guy will go down as the WORST POTUS EVER, he makes Tricky Dick look like a SAINT
