    It's Strait, not Straight.

Barely anyone knew what the Strait was because it was a non-issue, until the war and Iran weaponized it. You must live on an alien planet to think this is just like how it always has been.

Cutting off 20% of the worlds crude and 30% of the worlds fertilizer supply was basically slowrolling us to economic crisis.

Iran's military may now just be a couple of guys in a bunker with drones capable of delivering light ordinance, but guess what, that's all they need to control the Strait.

We gave Iran something more powerful than a nuke with this war, we gave them worldwide recognition as the globe's economic aorta.

I believe it's a agreement to negotiate with stipulations.

Iran will get a bag, and not want to deal anymore.
Donnie will not like the terms and will not deal anymore.

We will see this thread grow by 100s more pages before this is all said and done.

I'm very conflicted on what I have seen put out so far as far as terms.

Being a Vet, I want our service member's home yestarday.
But this looks like a pretty crappy deal for the USA.

So my question is what do we do?????

continue to bomb for a better deal while perpetuation the cycle of Iranian hate for the USA for the next generation, or take a crappy deal hanging all that supported this action out to dry come reelection time.

This is as close to a no-win situation I could imagine.

I lived through the Iranian hostage days and have no love for the Iranian leadership. But every Iranian I have run into seem to be some of the nicest people I have ever encountered. They are here because the fear and oppression of their government, but regardless of how nice a person is when your country is bombed by the bully from the west it galvanizes many due to national pride. And if you were ever on the fence living there about liking or hating the USA. Bombing my family would tilt the scale to hate.

That's just my opinion, none of this is based in fact, just my thought process.

Now the Iranian FM has confirmed all sanctions will be lifted on Iranian oil in exchange for opening the Strait. Not even anything related to their nuclear program but in exchange for something that wasn't even a issue before the war

The most embarrassing thing I've seen

Literally none of the things you posted are true. None. Repeating fake Iranian propaganda has been a source of humiliation for you over and over, amigo!

The coping and seething of liberals is a sight to see! LMAOOOOO

Iran is vanquished. Pain at the pump is easing. Americans are celebrating the 250th. Islamic terrorists are on their knees begging like (stinky) dogs for forgiveness and mercy. What a horrible day to be a liberal!

    GOOD DAY

An "optimistic read" is not the same as a lie.

Can you provide a link to what the Iranian foreign minister said about zero stockpiling?

I don't follow. Did someone else control it before?

You are correct that it was not a well known issue, but the same problem applies to Cuba. Which is one of the reasons why we didn't want Russia controlling Cuba

There was an uneasy agreement where Iran wasn't taking a cut every of ship passed through the STRAIT. What did we get out of all the tens of billions and greatly reducing our own arsenal?

So we shot ourselves in the foot, paid for the surgery to fix it, we walk around with a limp and in pain for a few weeks and what exactly was accomplished? We'd been better off not firing the weapon in the first place.

It's literally been confirmed that the US is releasing 25 billion dollars to Iran in exchange for them temporarily opening the strait. It's so fulfilling watching you low iq cultists accept a humiliating defeat in slow motion. Your cult hero just made the IRGC filthy rich and you'll continue worshipping Trump cuz you're a brainwashed loser

I feel a lot of those same feelings. I also feel sorry for all the military who have endured months away from their families for a war that was started by our own country and Israel. All these months, to block a straight, bully Iran into negotiating with force, drive up prices around the world to come out with the straight being opened again as a huge win. I don't believe they would have ever nuked us. I also doubt this whole mess coming to an end will bring peace to the Middle East either. I think there will always be terrorist attacks, genocide, crimes against humanity, and wars over religion land between those countries and Israel.

My fear is that we have incited a young generation of folks intent on revenge for the school of children we bombed, and all the bullying and threats from Trump and Hegseth of blowing their whole country to smithereens for fun. We spent well over 100 billion, on bombing, bullying and threats, instead of spending a year negotiating on their nuclear plans like adults.

We’ll know the exact details on Friday. But we do know this is mostly about reopening the strait. Nuke issues and other matters are to be ironed out later. I’m NOT optimistic that they will be. I'm, however, optimistic that this won’t lead back to war.

All this talk about “money” (political poop slinging) exchanges isn’t that important. Has the original problem been resolved? The answer is a huge NO. Iran’s nuke issue hasn’t been resolved. The broader Iran threat hasn’t been resolved either; instead, they will be stronger than before.

What can be done about that? Hopefully, they can reach a nuke deal to address that problem. As for the latter, I think we lost, Iran won, and there may be nothing to be done.

ps. Yes, Iranians are some of the best people I have met, as are many people from countries around the world.

Yea, but I think he wants to move on... to the next big bold bad idea.

Because MAGA was never about making America great.

It's about destroying everything that isn't MAGA.
