They had this game and could have tied it and now they will lose. I have seen some choke jobs but this was right up there with the best of them.........just hold the dam ball dude and get fouled

Fox's failed layup while in the lead reminds me of Jeremy Lin's failed layup against Portland.

that fox contract might kill the spurs with vassell getting paid 24M a year and you got castle and harper and wemby extensions coming up

I'm hoping for a massive Castle extension with the Spurs to keep them from winning a championship in the near future.

The best part for me is the Spurs came off mean-spirited, almost arrogant in these Finals. Last night was a double portion of humble pie. Wemby especially, having to come down from heaven to explain to the very mortal media the reasons for the abject catastrophe that took place on the court.

Spurs have had a lot of good luck for 30 years, last night they brain farted at the worst time.

    Oh well, not gonna
cry for them - they have to content themselves with (all those titles they won & will win)

The only way out of this is to have a tiny dancer moment. They have to remember the joy of playing basketball in order to shed the baggage.

There were two lead change. Towards the end, Knicks were up 105-104 and then Spurs went up with Castle's free throw 106-105 and then the OG tip in happened to win the game for Knicks with 107-106.

I feel like OG's block and tip in just earned Thompson extra cash on his extension.

Those types of hustle plays are golden in big situations. It makes me more confident we have that guy.

God I hope he's in the lab putting up 1000 jump shots a day.

I don’t remember any young team having as much success as spurs have had this year. I am all for it for them to lose and have some growing pains to deal with. The two dumb mistakes where Wemby had the unforced turn over was very similar to what Jabari had against Lakers. The decision by Fox to go for layup instead of running clock downs are all rookie mistakes.

Players scoring 30 or more points in an NBA finals game and also making the game-winning shot:

    Jerry West
    Kareem Abdul-Jabbar
    Michael Jordan
    Hakeem Olajuwon
    OG Anunoby
    /end of list

Fox was stupid to go for the layup, but TBH he was probably fouled.

Spike Lee is one superstitious brother. From 29 down until Knicks took the lead, I never saw him stand up. It’s like, “don’t talk to me. Don’t try to high five me. I’m just going to sit here, in my ritual.”

Wemby should have 4 flagrant fouls and suspended the next game.

That’s the shot after he already blocked it. If you block it first then no foul on the follow through.
