The reason why they're built in rural areas is because, in Texas at least, county government is treated like a red-headed stepchild by the State. There's no real legal framework to prevent anything from being done in unincorporated areas. ...and nationally they are being built, overwhelmingly, in drought stricken areas. Which is a brilliant plan. https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2026/jun/08/datacenter-ai-drought-water
This article absolutely pissed me the **** off: Short version: farmer says, "there's not a good place for kids to play around here" farmer deeds 87 acres to the city expressly written for parkland, for $10 years later, after various shifting of ownership, city sells land to developer for $10M data center incoming https://www.chron.com/texas/article/taylor-texas-park-data-center-22295703.php https://www.404media.co/a-farmer-do...ty-is-building-a-massive-data-center-instead/
How in the hell do those people sleep at night? I don't even see how that's legal. That makes me sick to my stomach.
This is why we have an easement on every property we own. No matter who/where it goes, it can only be used for certain things.
I just found out this massive building there building by my house in Champions is a GD data farm, this thing is massive and right in the middle of several subdivisions on Louetta at Cutten Rd....................you have to got be F`n me. It is friggin huge https://www.datacenterdynamics.com/...build-two-more-data-centers-in-houston-texas/
Okay. That’s less than two miles from where I grew up back in the 70’s. I didn’t know they were planning to put these things right in the middle of heavily populated areas. I notice it’s surrounded by apartment complexes. I’ve read that these data centers can sometimes create annoying noise pollution. It looks like they put these things next to electrical substations. It looks like pretty much everyone doesn’t want a data center in their backyard, whether they are republican or democratic. But, Texas seems to be pretty friendly towards these projects.
Picture on like below... "These are the weapons we are seizing from Mexican Cartels. They are killing thousands of Americans each and every year! President DONALD J. TRUMP" What are you doing about it? You do realize that 80% of the weapons the Cartel has are snuggled across the border from the US don't you? The NRA thanks you and your party for for your support. Keep those weapons flowing Donald. https://truthsocial.com/@realDonaldTrump/116733724226062708
I didn't either, its across from a nice shopping area and next to apartments and a few subdivision. They started building it a year ago and its massive, but about a month ago I noticed a sign showing it was a farm. Holy Hell..............I am sure this is a coincidence, but I had O`Connor fight my home evaluation on taxes as I do each year and they have never won and this year they shave $25k off my tax evaluation Its supposed to start up next month...............SMH
The 250th anniversary celebrations have a big sh*t stain across them thank to Trump turning it into a Maga fest of people like that, led by the psycho who doesn't give a damn about most Americans. He only loves being in the spotlight of attention on his circus stage, surrounded by his cult of crazy clowns.
Muslims at Texas GOP Convention told to leave party, country Hussein was among four Muslims, who arrived at the convention in earnest — not as protesters, but as delegates or attendees — to participate in the annual meeting of the state’s most hardlined Republicans as they vote on the party’s priorities and hear from GOP leaders. Two prevailing themes from the Houston gathering were party unity and combatting Sharia Law, a movement that veered into outright Islamophobia by members of the convention. “When they say Sharia-free, that means Muslim-free, no practices of Islam,” Hussein said in an interview with The Texas Tribune. “No one is calling for the state to implement Sharia laws.” Hussein said he was in disbelief that he was told to convert or leave — for the first time in his life — at a Republican convention with the tagline, “Unity drives victory.” “There’s no place in America for you” “Many, many hear these things, the messaging, and think that they’re dog whistles,” Hussein said. “I was hopeful that I’d come here and get a clarification. What we got was kind of a confirmation.”
When someone tells you who they are, believe them the first time. If you isn't white, you aint right right for the gop Not all, but the hardcore maga folks are straight up RACISTS and this potus allowed them to let their freak flag fly..............including the ones in my family who hide it, until there in the right "company"
LOL I absolutely love this for the Muslim MAGA another group of people get their wake up call and realize that they’re just tokens it doesn’t matter how much you tap dance or shuck and jive for massa, they will never like you or accept you of course they want you out of the country and will tell them to their place that there’s no place in America for people like them…white nationalism/white supremacy and brown Muslim don’t mix I couldn’t imagine debasing myself like these tokens do for a bunch of racists that despise them
