Trial testimony equated a track team's tent to a sports team's bench. If Draymond Green came and sat on the Rockets bench during the game, and Fred VanVleet asked Green to move... and Green wouldn't move... then it would be the same situation. Now you can clearly see why Metcalf was de-escalating by asking Karmelo Anthony to move (15x). GOOD DAY
She doesn't even have her facts right. It was not a multi-tool that was used. It was a straight up knife capable of killing. Here she is trying to act like an authority figure and she doesn't even know the basics of the case. Objectively, she is a very low IQ individual. An embarrassment to the House of Representatives. GOOD DAY
Repeat offenders, particularly of violent offenses have been given 2nd chances, so it makes it clearer that they should spend their lives in prison. Crimes that are premeditated or that take time to realize what you are doing, are people likely to reoffend. Sudden emotional decisions? Maybe not, especially at a young age. Take this case, it was a premediated decision to bring a knife, but the choice to use it was presumably instant. It is why (without full knowledge), would have supported the sudden passion punishment. Doesn't mean I wouldn't feel differently if on that Jury, as the trial easily could have swayed me to the same decision they made.
Looks like you are the one who can’t read. I never said that Metcalf didn’t push him. Stop defending the killer Also, I’m not really “uninformed” as I watched the whole case and knew which way it would go. I also agreed with the verdict.
Actually, impulse control violent criminals are ones that are really dangerous and likely to reoffend in my experience. Now, impulse control can (to an extent) improve with age but not always -- and IMO that is still too big a risk for the greater society. As for Anthony - he brought a knife with him, it wasn't a massive special forces knife.... the blade was about 3.5 inches long. He did foreshadow using it though, he said it to the victim -- then he stabbed the victim. I do think he meant to stab the victim, I don't think that he meant to kill the victim based on his statements afterwards where he was surprised by the severity of the injury. Again - it is a complete lack of impulse control with men, especially young men. Most of the young men that are extremely violent at a young age with a lack of impulse control, will still have those issues at a later age. Where do you draw the line between rehabilitation potential and risk to the general public? I don't have enough trust in the government or the people's willingness to spend the money to address impulse issues at this time.
She is so disrespectful to her own people, voter base. She really does treat them like they are stupid and the dumbasses buy it.
Impulse control is a definite issue, especially in men. It is why in another post I referenced if him possibly killing a girlfriend, because if it is something he can't fix, it will be those closest to him that are the most likely to get hurt. And maybe he has a history of some kind. Maybe he showed little remorse. We'll see if he finds an avenue for a successful appeal, if he get any future leniency (I'd not expect so in Texas), or what. In the end, he does only have himself to blame.
What an ugly, disgraceful scene -- some people just have no dignity. These folks are ashamed of nothing and offended by everything. Their behavior is just horrible. That type of mindset and behavior condemns generations to a life of poverty and scarcity. It's a pity. This man wants to "dig up Austin and stab him again". Seriously, what is wrong with these people? What right-minded person would want to live anywhere near them?
texxx, this is just a bunch of word salad to deflect away from the simple fact that you cant acknowledge that shoving someone does not equal "trying to deescalate". you may be the biggest partisan hack in the history of clutch fans. you will always tow the party line no matter what, but youre not like tomato/lil' buddy. youre not dumb so quit acting like it. BUENOS DIAS
LOL. you spent multiple pages claiming there was no assault that occurred. you refused to acknowledge that anthony was shoved before stabbing. your posts are there for all to see so i dont know why you would deny this. you are really having a mental breakdown in this thread and we are all seeing it. name calling, emotional outbursts, lying about what you said, fake-tough-guy talk saying youre going to go beat people up and that you want to see anthony murdered. you have lost it lil' buddy.
This black man is BEGGING for a physical confrontation. He's using the same language Anthony used. He's attempting to physically intimidate the older man... and hoping he "puts his hands on him" because in his warped world, that somehow justifies his ultimate goal, which is physical violence against the older man. Anthony adopted a similar approach by his refusal to leave a competing team's tent/bench area. You see this type of implied threat of violence quite a bit in the urban community. An intellectual argument is really not possible. GOOD DAY
Thank you, amigo, as I receive this as a compliment. Although I prefer "Partisan Scholar", to give appropriate respect to my high intelligence. GOOD DAY
Lol so what if he shoved him? Shoving someone doesn't mean that person has the right to kill him with a knife. Thats disproportionate use of force. Unless he was in legit fear for life (like dude was on top of him punching the crap outta him yea), but thats not the case here. He shoved him, this dude stab him in the heart=murder.
