Same thing happened with the Orlando and Minnesota redesign. It's a league rule, they just don't let you do it except for a temporary jersey.

Makes me think how bad the nba is with unis... the Jazz are so bad they need to give the pelicans the name back.

Giving New Orleans back the name Jazz would be hands down the best move the league has made in the last 40 years and they should have done it while they were giving Charlotte back the name Hornets. New Orleans Hornets also made no sense.

    New Orleans Jazz (Perfect)

Utah Jazz (WTH is going on here!??)

    Utah should be the Miners.

    FROM GOOGLE
Utah is most historically known for being the epicenter of the Mormon pioneer settlement and the driving of the Golden Spike that completed the First Transcontinental Railroad. It is deeply rooted in both indigenous heritage and the American westward expansion.Key historical pillars defining the state include:1. Mormon Pioneer Settlement (1847)The Migration: Members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, seeking religious freedom and to escape persecution, migrated to the West.Salt Lake Valley: Led by Brigham Young, they arrived in the Salt Lake Valley in July 1847—an event celebrated annually across the state on July 24 as Pioneer Day.Infrastructure: These settlers are known for taming the arid landscape through extensive community cooperation and advanced irrigation techniques.2. The Transcontinental Railroad (1869)The Golden Spike: Utah was the site where the East and West coasts were first permanently connected by rail.Promontory Summit: On May 10, 1869, the Central Pacific and Union Pacific railroads met at Promontory Summit (now preserved as the Golden Spike National Historical Park), officially driving the ceremonial last spike.3. Ancient Indigenous HistoryEarly Civilizations: Long before European settlement, Utah was home to ancient Native American groups like the Ancestral Puebloans and Fremont people.Cultural Traces: The state remains celebrated for its preserved rock art, petroglyphs, and cliff dwellings scattered across its dramatic landscapes.4. Mining and Economic BoomResource Extraction: The late 19th and early 20th centuries were defined by major mining booms in silver, copper, and coal.Bingham Canyon Mine: The massive open-pit Bingham Canyon Mine near Salt Lake City became a major contributor to the global copper industry.5. Transition to Statehood (1896)Road to Statehood: Utah became the 45th U.S. state on January 4, 1896, following intense negotiations with the federal government and the church's renouncement of polygamy.

It's for the fans, not the players.

The fans deserve it. After all they've put us through over the last few decades!

I doubt the Pelicans will stay in New Orleans long enough to justify the name change (it would never happen anyway, despite our hatred of the Jazz).

It’s cause Bud Adam’s took it with him when he left. Now his daughter won’t give it back.

That 1973 designed basketball is not that great a logo and wordmark IMO. Lifeless clipart. The "R/HR" logo/symbol at least has inspiration. The idea was to create a symbol similar to the "NY" in NY Yankees that was recognizable and simple.

But as with art, everyone has their likes and dislikes.

In business if the overwhelming majority of people especially on social media dont like the "art" then it matters a lot. I heard them use the old "you cant please everyone" line. Yeah but you wanna please most people and you already had a uniform in the dunkstronaut that you knew everyone likes. In business you listen to the customer. This was a fail. They knew what everyone wanted and didnt do it. Its a business failure.

Yeah I’ve seen very few like it. BTW Magic at least have great jerseys and got very close to the old logo, so our marketing department- that guy at least - is lying. They could’ve done it.

Modern jerseys fit like a superhero outfit, no space for Senguns t*ts to breathe what so ever, gotta yank on the thing to cool those puppies off.
