Can’t remember exactly (a few minutes). But what was awesome was that he recorded it in Boston just before going out and accepting the award he got a few years ago, presented at halftime by Rick Carlisle (I think). Gave it some fun extra meaning. It was so rad. Rudy T is the actual best.

 

Am I the only old fart who likes the NASA font unis or maybe the H-Town logo the most? Also kind of disappointed it looks like we're keeping the vampire/horror flick "R" and just slapping some gold on it. lol.

Ah well, as long as we win a ring...

 

I'm usually a picky, critical a55hole about everything (including myself) but this is legitimately so well done. Unfortunately, it makes me want a real Rudy T's Diner more than anything.

As for the rebrand, I hate that they're retaining the R emblem.

The triangular logo, the new font, the Dunkstronaut...they're all "round". Then you randomly have this R with sharp points on it that just doesn't fit the aesthetic. It would have been my #1 point of emphasis if I were in charge of the rebrand, but alas, we're probably stuck with it for another 20 years.

Dammit, I did the picky, critical a55hole thing again.

Seriously, current logo(last one) is an abomination. Who came up with that, let alone approved it.

So if they aren’t going to go back to the first one (and “modernize” it), then use the H like on the 3rd logo and use the dunkstronaut. Astros went back to an “H”. Texans, while not their main logo, predominantly use the old English/gothic “H”.

But, and I’m good with either, are they a “ketchup/mustard/mayo” (red/yellow/white) team or “ketchup/black olives/mayo”(red/black/white) team? I’m not sure they can be both.

Ketchup & mustard on black (with pinstripes) = big fat nope

That court design is pretty cool, but that red feels bit more sriracha than ketchup.

 

I don't care at all.

I only care if they are still 1st round exit trash team.

 

I care if they are watchable. I'm a regular season kind of fan. I like the 82 games of chill with a beer and be entertained with a good product. That $hit show last year was dismal. I don't want to spend any time this October - next May watching them if they are going to be a mess again. I beg for a D'Antoni or Adelman style offense to return. This Udoka garbage has to go.

I think the dunkstronaut logo will get goofy after a while. It is a cool alternative, but they should return to the old school original basketball as the main, and get an H.
