reg season top 3 spurs shooters vs Sheppard 38% of champagne’s 3s were wide open (defender more 6ft). (2.3/game) 41% open (defender 4-6ft) (2.5/game) 27% of Vassel’s 3s were wide open (1.7/game) 50% open (4.9/game) 44% of Fox’s 3s were wide open (2.3/game) 49% open (2.6/game) 48% of Sheppard’s 3s were wide open (3.4/game) 34% open (2.4/game) As you see he has more wide open looks than any of the Spurs. He also takes most attempts per game (7.0) than any of them. Champ (6.2) vassel (6.4), fox (5.5) _________________________ If you took Avg Spurs open shots for their top 3 shooters it’s 46% of their total 3pt Attempts. Let’s say sheppard launches same total attempts as he did this year (576) if he played for the spurs. If 46% of Sheppard’s 3s are open he would attempt 276 open 3s at 3.2 a game and his avg is 32% when he’s open this year (w/rockets) which is 88 open 3PM (w/spurs) compared to 63 3PM this year with Rockets. Avg spurs wide open shots is 36%. 36% of his total attempts is 207 total attempts at 2.5 a game. At a 47% clip he shoots wide open that’s 97 wide open 3PM which is less than the 131 total wide open 3PM with the Rockets. That’s 185 total made (open + wide open) with spurs and 194 total made (open + wide open) with rockets.
I don't know bro...OKC would've attacked him on offense. I know Wemby is the anchor of their defense, but the Spurs played switch defense. Each of their players could hold their own with a switch
not just defense. Sheppard can’t get to the paint. He isn’t a great playmaker. No burst off the dribble. If he plays for Spurs he definitely isn’t a starter.
48% of Sheppard’s 3s were wide open which he shot 47% 34% of them open yet he only shot 32%. Most of Spurs main shooters did not have the wide open looks Sheppare got all season. Let’s stop the misinformation about Udoka or the Rockets offense not giving him space or opportunities.
I've stayed away from these Reed threads because it's become the same dialog since the end of the season. We drafted Reed and I'm happy with the player and the progress he's made under the circumstances. I'm confident he'll continue to get better. I let ya'll debate the would've, could've, and should've crap. I'll cheer for the young man along with our other young guys and enjoy them for themselves.
nothing wrong with cheering for him or supporting him as many fans do but to say he’s great or curry like or better than Castle is blasphemy. And then blame his inconsistent performance on racism and unfairness or sabotage etc is just stupid.
