I’ll never forget the thread @SamFisher created “Should Rick Aldeman wear a Monocle”, lulz. Best GARM thread ever. Too bad the pictures didn’t survive

Someone should bump it in honor of Her Aldeman

RIP, great Coach, great man. Enjoyed his career

godammit man, I read this and gave me a big gut punch

Rick was the best rockets coach outside of Rudy T, loved all the teams he put on the floor. You could tell his players loved playing for him

Definitely in the conversation with Rudy T for "best coach the Rockets ever had". His Rockets teams, especially toward the end when they were just a bunch of scrappy roleplayers playing above their heads, were also some of my favorite teams we've had. RIP. :(

RIP Rick. That 2009 team is the most fun Rockets team and season. If it wasnt for Yao going down, the Rockets probably win that year. Adelman was robbed of a title basically everywhere he coached but no one would ever doubt that he wasn't a great coach.

    Nah, it's always time.

The 22-in-a-row team was the most fun I've ever had being a fan of this team. He brought us out of the misery of JVG's offense and maintained a competent defense.

He's up there for best NBA coach to never win a title.

Dang it, loved him as coach.

He was such a great coach on both ends, Dick Baveta and David Stern screwed his Sac town team out of a ring.

He had Chuck Hayes running point center and got a 0.500 team out of it. He was a hell of a coach, RIP.

Other than Rudy T, the second best coach in Rocket history. King of 500 and just missing the playoffs. RIP

Even dead he runs a better offense than 3/4 the league.

Had a title stolen from him with Sacramento.

loved his with the Rockets but I’ll always think of his with Sacramento and Portland.
