We are over a third of the season in and he still “has mechanical issues”. Doesn’t make any sense. I can’t remember the last time a guy in the prime of his career lost 2.5 mph off his average fastball like this without an injury. This is my complaint and response to those saying Espada has to eventually use him in one run games. If his velocity was back and he blew it by walking everyone, then whatever I don’t care. However, if we are all agreeing that he still has mechanical issues and that’s why his velocity is still down, then he shouldn’t be working through those issues in one run games against a patient hitting 34-21 Brewers team.
This guy throws some serious heat and he's a couple of inches from the edge of the strike zone every time.
This is why winning that first game of the series was so crucial. Misiorowski is going to cruise today.
Idk how this dude's arm is still intact Ain't no way his arm will be normal once he's in his late 30s
I went on to post why and it's what the org is doing with Abreu, fans just don't like it. Do you actually believe they're going to push him down and say he's done? No of course not. I stated from the start I would've found a different opponent. With the Brewers (TOL no less) Abreu had ZERO room for any control issues.
Agreed. I get looking for a leverage situation but that was arguably the worst possible line up match up for Abreu in all of baseball.
There are only 5 guys in the MLB that has a faster swing. If he ever figures it out, he will be an MVP candidate.
I don’t even see how this guys ERA is 1.77 to be honest. Feels like you’ve got to get lucky and run into one to score. Hopefully he walked someone before that.
No one can throw 102 a whole game. His fastball is slowing down, and good major league hitters can hit 99 mph.
