Basketball players don't hit their peak until 26-33 ish. The whole league is cooked. Except for obvious rebuilding years I go into every season with hope. If I'm being honest I have no hope anymore. How on God's green earth do you defend a 7'4" man pulling up from 35 feet in the flow of the offense? That's not even mentioning he'll block anything within 10 feet of the rim. I hate to say it but Sengun is worthless without a reliable jumpshot against Wemby.
Cooked, yes, but absolutely, the takeaway is Wemby can be slowed down on the road......at least there is hope. And he can be fatigued, he is not superhuman.
We should have been in the lottery. If we never traded for Brooks/FVV/Adams and then KD, we would still be at the bottom of the standings. The spurs' young guys are terrorizing the league. Our young guys are liabilities propped up by vets.
What really blows donkey balls here is not that the Spurs have Wemby (I mean it doesn’t help) but that they have him AND Castle, Fox, and Harper plus solid role players like Johnson, Vassell, and Champagnie amongst others. All of these dudes are better than anyone that we have for the most part. It is so f*cking depressing.
Eventually you have to pay them all & it's just not possible. Castle, Harper & Wemby are all on Rookie Deals. The Spurs will have to change up once the bill comes due. But they are early winning the West so young so, this is house money.
The Rockets had the worse bench in the league. They now have 3-4 open roster spots of free agents, let’s see what kind of players they will get but I have zero faith in Ime and Stone.

yeah the overreaction is ridiculous. If draft picks don’t work out you trade them for stars. Not the end of the world. Not every team can be OKC or spurs. Minn obtained stars for their run. So did Dallas and Lakers and Cavs. We should be excited to see what happens this summer.
Just start building through the draft starting with the nets / Phx picks. We won’t do it but I’d try to trade into early teens of this draft. Unfortunately we gonna run it back with Fred
